Household wastewater filter
A filter assembly and method of filtering wastewater from a washing machine. The filter has a framework for supporting a first filter stage and a second filter stage, a connection on a top of the filter assembly for connecting to a wastewater stream, a diffuser positioned to extend into the first filter stage and configured to rotate about a vertical axis of installation within the first filter stage, and a second filter stage below the first filter stage and configured to receive overflow from the first filter stage. The filter assembly does not include a motor or motorized parts and wherein the diffuser is rotatable by way of the force of the wastewater stream fed into the first filter stage to diffuse the wastewater stream and to spray the wastewater onto and through the filter media allowing the filter media to catch debris within the first filter stage.
Filtration Unit
A device is provided that provides an unbiased filtration effect and an effect of removing captured substances through backwashing by causing a fluid to uniformly pass through a filter element over the entire length in an axial direction at the time of backwashing so as to efficiently rotate a captured-substance removal tool in a filtration unit 1 which includes the captured-substance removal tool 20 axially supported inside the tubular filter element 2 to be rotatable.
Device for separating and lifting solids from waste water
A device for separating and lifting solids from waste water has a stationary drum provided with a first filter screen and a screw conveyor. An auger shaft has a lower portion located inside the stationary drum, which is partially surrounded by a second filter screen. The lower portion is connected to a cleaning apparatus of the first filter screen formed by a plurality of comb-holder arms mounted on a cross shaped element. The comb-holder arms are integral at the opposite end to an anti-skid ring sliding in a sliding seat integral with the support frame. Each comb-holder arm has an elongated comb facing the first filter screen and in contact with the first filter screen. The comb-holder arms are connected to the auger shaft by an epicyclic secondary gear.
Dewatering screw press
A dewatering screw press has an auger within a case and driven by a motor. Influent material is received through an intake into the case near a proximal end of the auger, where it is driven toward a distal output by the auger. While the influent is driven along the exterior of the auger by a first spiraled fin of the auger, the influent passes by mesh screens in the case and the auger. As the influent material passes by the screens, liquids in the material pass through but solids are prevented from doing so. A second spiraled fin, internal to the auger and spiraled inversely to the first spiraled fin, impels liquid received into the cavity of the auger backward toward a proximal output located at the proximal end of the auger.
WASH PRESS HAVING IMPROVED ROTOR STRUCTURE AND HOUSING FOR REMOVING THE SAME
Provided is a wash press that separates liquids and solids from a waste stream. The wash press includes a tank having a semi-cylindrical shape. The tank has an inlet at a top of the tank for receiving a waste stream, a screen disposed in a portion of a bottom of the tank to permit liquid to pass therethrough, and an outlet for permitting solid materials separated from the liquid to pass therethrough. A rotor extends through the tank for transporting and dewatering the waste material entering the tank. The rotor includes a plurality of helical flights interconnected by paddle members to permit agitating the waste material. The wash press also includes a removable cover that enables the rotor to be lifted vertically, and a removably attached screen to facilitate replacement/repair of the same.

Dishwasher appliance with a fine filter
A dishwasher appliance includes a filter assembly positioned between a pump and a spray body along a flow path between the pump and the spray body. The filter assembly includes a cylindrical filter medium positioned within a housing proximate an inlet of the housing. A plurality of vanes is distributed around the cylindrical filter medium. The plurality of vanes is rotatable about the cylindrical filter medium.
Screw press with filter plates
A screw press for separating liquid from a solid-liquid mixture includes a casing having inlet and outlet sections, and a filter section there between. The filter section includes an axially extending stack of coplanar filtration plates defining a core passage for receiving a screw configured to convey the solid-liquid mixture from the inlet section to the outlet section while compressing and dewatering the solid-liquid mixture by forcing at least part of the liquid content of the mixture to be expelled out of the casing through inter-plate gaps defined between each pair of adjacent filtration plates. The filtration plates are fixed relative to one another and clamped in direct intimate face-to-face contact by a clamping assembly operable for applying a predetermined axially clamping pressure substantially uniformly about the core passage. The inter-plate gaps are controlled by the surface roughness of the plates and the clamping pressure.
Apparatus and system for removing liquid from slurry
Liquid separator apparatus comprises a first screen assembly for screening fluids from slurry. The first screen assembly defines an enclosure. The apparatus also comprises a second screen assembly for screening fluids from the slurry and being disposed spaced-apart within the enclosure of the first screen assembly. A slurry pathway is defined between the first screen assembly and the second screen assembly. A first separated fluids stream pathway is defined outwardly of the first screen assembly, and a second separated fluids stream pathway is defined inwardly of the second screen assembly. An auger is positioned between the first screen assembly and the second screen assembly for advancing the slurry upwardly through the slurry pathway. A drive motor operates to turn the auger.
METHOD FOR UNCLOGGING AN EXTRUDER
A method for unclogging the openwork sheath of screw extruders used for sludge densification. The sheath is formed by a stack of superposed elements that are spaced apart from one another by elastic spacers, the latter creating a gap between each of the elements. The liquid and gaseous fractions contained in the sludge are expelled through the gaps. The stack is compressed during an extrusion cycle, with the spacers thus being squashed, thereby reducing the thickness of the gaps. During an unclogging cycle, the pressure is released, the spacers then returning to their original thicknesses and in this way increasing the size of the gaps, thus making it easier to unclog the latter.
