MICROPLASTIC FILTER FOR A WASHING MACHINE

A microplastic filter (also referred herein as fluid filter) for a washing machine has a filter housing, a first filter screen, a second filter screen, an inlet opening 16, and an outlet opening. The inlet and outlet openings communicate with each other through the first filter screen to define a direction of fluid flow. The first filter chamber has a retentate outlet, is particularly easy to handle if the second filter screen is arranged in a cavity of the filter housing, the inlet and outlet openings communicate with each other through the second filter screen, and the retentate outlet is arranged on a side of the second filter screen that faces the fluid flow.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING SOLIDS FROM LIQUID-SOLID SLURRIES
20190046906 · 2019-02-14 · ·

A system for separating solids from a liquid-solid slurry includes a collection vessel configured to receive the liquid-solid slurry in first opening and discharge it through a second opening. There is a filter unit having a chamber with a plurality of apertures and a discharge port. There is a pump unit interconnected to the chamber of the at least one filter unit. One of the filter unit or the pump unit is in fluid communication with the second opening in the collection vessel and is configured to receive the liquid-solid slurry and it through the filter unit chamber, causing liquid from the liquid-solid slurry to flow through the apertures and the solids to be retained in the chamber of the filter unit. The pump unit includes a discharge device which is translatable through the chamber of the filter unit to force solids retained in the chamber toward the discharge port.

COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR SURGICAL USE

A surgical collection assembly for filtering material from liquid obtained during surgery. A jar having an inlet and an outlet each adapted for connection to a suction line. A set of orientation features to position an upper portion of a collection basket within the jar such that an upper portion of the collection basket does not impede a flow of material entering the jar through the inlet. A bottom surface with a pattern of recessed paths in the bottom surface, the pattern of recessed paths connected to the outlet. A plunger assembly that may be reversibly attached to the jar so that a distal end of a plunger may be used to compress collected material within the collection basket to help remove fluid from the collected material. For certain uses, the surgical collection assembly may have a simple jar lid without an integrated plunger.
