A shale shaker includes a basket having a front, solids discharge end and a rear, feed end spaced apart by opposed first and second sides. The basket includes a lower, first, screen deck and an upper, second, screen deck directly above the first screen deck. The screening surfaces of the screen decks are spaced apart, by a vertical spacing of from 20 mm to 250 mm. There is a cavity above the feed receiving end of the first screen deck, in direct fluid communication with the space between the screening surfaces of the first and second screen decks ( ) that only receives feed that has passed through the upper, second, screen deck. The cavity extends to higher than the extreme end of the screening surface of the second screen deck, at its feed receiving end.

Dual deck vibratory separator

A dual deck vibratory separator is provided having an improved mud flow path that provides for higher flow capacities overall is provided. The shaker has a lighter basket possessing a full-size upper deck extending across the width and length of the basket. Operational efficiency and operability is improved with flow deflecting and energy absorbing plates disposed intermediate along the mud flow path. The screen assemblies are secured with improved wedges, improved wedge guides, screen cushions, and cushion stops on transverse structure members for longer screen and slide life. An optional vacuum tray on the finishing trays further enhances recovery of drilling fluid. Maintenance, when required, is improved through ease of upper screen removal for inspection and access. Inclined side windows on each side of the basket may provide cleaning and viewing access.

Vibratory screening machines that include stacked screening deck assemblies are provided. In some embodiments, at least one of the vibratory screening machines may include an outer frame, an inner frame connected to the outer frame, and a vibratory motor assembly secured to the inner frame for vibrating the inner frame. A plurality of screen deck assemblies may be attached to the inner frame in a stacked arrangement, each configured to receive replaceable screen assemblies. The screen assemblies may be secured to respective ones of the plurality of the screen deck assemblies by tensioning the screen assemblies in a direction that a material to be screened flows across the screen assemblies. An undersized material discharge assembly may be configured to receive materials that pass through the screen assemblies, and an oversized material discharge assembly having a deflector may be configured to receive materials that pass over the screen assemblies.

Drilling Fluid Reclaimer
20190344203 · 2019-11-14 ·

The present invention is directed to a drilling fluid reclaimer. The reclaimer has at least one adjustable screen assembly for providing a leveling filter for reclaimed drill fluid. Used drill fluid is placed at the screen assembly at the front the of the screen assembly. The at least one screen is vibrated to separate large particulate matter from liquid drilling fluid. A second screen is provided for additional filtering. Large particulate matter is expelled by a chute at the back of the screen assembly. Drilling fluid passing through the screen is reclaimed for use with a drilling system.

Triple layer non-plugging screen

A triple layer non-plugging screen for use with a vibrating screening machine to filter particles from a liquid has an upper filtering layer made of warp and shute wires that intersect to form an array of small openings, a lower strengthening layer having an array of large openings, and an anti-plugging layer. The anti-plugging layer is sandwiched between the upper filtering and lower strengthening layers and is made of warp and shute wires that intersect to form an array of openings. The upper filtering and anti-plugging layers are oriented within the screen so that at least one of the warp and shute wires of the anti-plugging layer obstructs at least some of the openings in the upper filtering layer. This reduces the likelihood of entrapment of undesirable particles in the obstructed openings of the upper filtering layer.

System and method for using a pressure differential for separation

A shaker separates components of a slurry. The shaker has a screen with a pressure differential applied to the screen to remove a portion of a slurry. The pressure differential across the screen can be toggled or pulsed. Generally, various types of separators are used to separate liquids and solids. For example, oil-field drilling operations use separators with screens to remove solids from a slurry. One type of apparatus used to remove solids from drilling mud is commonly referred to in the industry as a shale shaker.

Systems and methods for separating fluids from drill cuttings. Specifically, the invention relates to shakers that incorporate a vacuum system and methods of operating such systems to effect a high degree of fluid separation. The system and methods are effective across a variety of screen sizes, vacuum flows and vacuum designs.

STRAINER DEVICE FOR WASH WATER USED WITH EQUIPMENT IN THE AGGREGATE AND MINING INDUSTRIES

An aggregate processing system, including a water source, and a vibrating screen device including a plurality of spray nozzles disposed above a screen for spraying wash water onto aggregate during aggregate processing. A strainer device is provided for removing particulate debris from a water wash stream flowing from a water source to the spray nozzles, the strainer device including a filter screen having an angled shape with a convex side facing the strainer inlet and fluid flow path. The strainer is configured to induce turbulent flow for separation of the particulates by gravity, with the filter screen blocking particulates above a given size. In this manner, particulates which may otherwise lead to clogging of the spray nozzles are removed from the wash water stream.
