Drilling Fluid Reclaimer
20170252681 · 2017-09-07 ·

The present invention is directed to a drilling fluid reclaimer. The reclaimer has at least one adjustable screen assembly for providing a leveling filter for reclaimed drill fluid. Used drill fluid is placed at the screen assembly at the front the of the screen assembly. The at least one screen is vibrated to separate large particulate matter from liquid drilling fluid. A second screen is provided for additional filtering. Large particulate matter is expelled by a chute at the back of the screen assembly. Drilling fluid passing through the screen is reclaimed for use with a drilling system.

DRILLING FLUID RECOVERY CHUTE
20170175464 · 2017-06-22 ·

The invention relates to an apparatus for use with a shale shaker and more specifically to a drilling fluid recovery chute that is attached to and receives tailings from the discharge end of a shale shaker. The drilling fluid recovery chute removes drilling fluids from the waste tailings that are discharged from the shale shaker so that they can be reused or recycled. The invention also relates to a method for recovering drilling fluids from the tailings of a shale shaker.

Shale shakers with selective series/parallel flow path conversion

Methods and systems are disclosed employing a shale shaker for processing a mixture of drilling fluid and solids with multiple screen assemblies and conversion apparatus for switching flow to the screen assemblies between series flow and parallel flow; and in one aspect, a screen or screens for screening lost circulation material.

An apparatus and method directed to a vibratory separator configured to interchangeably operate in parallel distribution mode and combination series distribution mode for separating solid material suspended in incoming fluid is provided. The vibratory separator includes a top screening deck, a first intermediate screening deck, a second intermediate screening deck, and a bottom screening deck. The vibratory separator may be configured to distribute the incoming fluid in either parallel distribution flow or combination series distribution flow, whereby a bottom screen assembly disposed on the bottom screening deck is included when the vibratory separator is operated in the combination series distribution flow, and wherein the bottom screen assembly is excluded from the bottom screening deck when the vibratory separator is operated in the parallel distribution flow.

A vibrating screen is provided for separating excess water from particulate materials such as sand, gravel, iron ore, sludge or other particulate material and/or for grading, classifying or sorting particulate material by size. The vibrating screen includes a frame upon which is mounted a deck having a plurality of apertures therein, the frame being mounted on a base and being provided with vibration generating means for imparting vibration to the deck, wherein the frame includes pair of substantially parallel side walls between which the screen is mounted, each side wall including a pair of spaced apart side members defining outer faces of the side wall, at least one intermediate member being located between the side members, wherein the at least one intermediate member incorporates a plurality of apertures and/or cut-outs therethrough.

SHAKER CONTROL AND OPTIMIZATION

Monitoring drill cuttings suspended within a drilling fluid with one or more cuttings detection devices as the drill cuttings traverse one or more shaker screens of a shaker. Drill cuttings data of the drill cuttings is then generated with the one or more cuttings detection devices. Analyzing and processing the drill cuttings data with one or more processors included in a data acquisition system and thereby generating processed drill cuttings data. The processed drill cuttings data is indicative of at least one of a cuttings size distribution and a density of the drill cuttings. One or more operational parameters of the shaker may then be modified based on the processed drill cuttings data.

ASSEMBLY WITH PIVOTABLE HOPPER AND SHAKER

A combined hopper and shaker assembly which can be used at least in processing excavation or other remains. The assembly features a hopper that can be pivoted (through operation of a hoist/sling) to cause the contents of the hopper to be fed via gravity through an exit chute onto the shaker. The hopper includes splash guards or sidewalls on the portions thereof that are proximate the pivot axis and an internal shape along the exit chute so as to guide the contents of the hopper toward the exit chute.

Sieving Apparatus And Method Of Using Same
20170001219 · 2017-01-05 ·

This invention relates to a sieving apparatus and method for separating solid particles above a predetermined size from a fluid by carrying the solids-containing fluid across at least one sieving cloth in a frame connected to a shaking device for providing shaking motion. The sieving apparatus includes an inlet portion for receiving solids-containing fluid, a discharge portion for solids that have been carried across the at least one sieving cloth and an outlet portion for fluid that has passed through the sieving cloth. The sieving apparatus further includes at least one endless sieving cloth arranged for rotating around at least two spaced-apart turning-rollers, at least one being connected to a motor, and a pumping device in fluid communication with a suction nozzle located proximate an underside of the endless sieving cloth between two of the turning-rollers, to produce a fluid flow through at least a portion of the endless sieving cloth.
