INTEGRATED FILTER MATERIAL AND PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF

An integrated filter material, a preparation method and an application. The filter material is composed of a commercial dust removal filter material and a catalyst that is grown on the filter material and that has a function of simultaneously decomposing nitrogen oxides and dioxins. In the preparation method, a precursor solution of manganese and cerium oxides is impregnated on the filter material, and manganese and cerium oxides are grown on the filter material by means of a chemical reaction; and vanadium oxychloride is used as a precursor of vanadium oxide and is impregnated on the filter material, reacts in water, and prepared by drying, hydrothermal and other processes. The composite filter material may remove three kinds of pollutants in flue gas at the same time, and the catalyst is firmly loaded and does not easily fall off.

ARTICLES COMPRISING BINDERS, CROSS-LINKING AGENTS AND/OR OTHER COMPONENTS, AND RELATED METHODS

Articles comprising binders, cross-linking agents and/or other components, and related methods are generally disclosed.

Dual density nanofiber media

The present invention generally relates to a dual density air filtration media that comprises a plurality of nanofibers layers formed from nanofibers having different fiber diameters. Due to the presence of these multiple nanofiber layers with different nanofiber diameters, the resulting filtration media of the present invention comprises a gradient density. In particular, the present invention uses a novel combination of two or more layers of nanofibers made via an electrospinning process, wherein the nanofiber layers made up from different fiber sizes are strategically applied to a cellulose or synthetic base material or substrate, to thereby maximize the filtration efficiency and dust holding capacity of the resulting filtration media.

FILTER MEDIA AND ARTICLES INCLUDING BINDERS AND/OR OTHER COMPONENTS

Articles such as filter media, which include dendrimers and/or other components, are provided. The filter media may further include a water repellant (e.g., a fluorinated species) to impart desirable properties to the media such as high water repellency. The filter media may also have a high efficiency as a function of pressure drop (i.e., high gamma values). In some embodiments, the filter media includes a fiber web which may be formed of various components such as glass fibers. The fiber web can also include additional components such as synthetic fibers, binder components, as well as other additives. The media may be incorporated into a variety of filter element products.

Air Purification and Decontamination Devices, Systems, and Methods

Air purification devices include an air inlet and outlet, upstream and downstream sections in air flow communication with the air inlet and outlet and a filter removably positioned between the upstream and downstream sections to filter at least pathogens from air being passed through the filter. One or more ultraviolet (UV) illuminating sources may be positioned in at least the upstream section proximate the filter to illuminate at least an upstream surface of the filter with sufficient UV radiation to kill viable pathogens that accumulate on the filter. One or more ozone generating sources may be positioned to generate ozone in sufficient concentrations to kill viable pathogens proximate the device. The UV illuminating sources and ozone generating sources may be positioned to provide a predetermined pressure drop across the sources and air flow pattern proximate the filter, and enable the filter to be removed without handling the sources.
