POROUS MATERIALS FOR TREATING CONTAMINANTS
In one aspect, a material structure is disclosed, which includes a macroscopic porous substrate configured to receive a flow of a medium for passage of at least a portion thereof through the porous substrate. At least one porous coating is disposed on at least a portion of an inner surface of the porous substrate, wherein the porous coating comprises a matrix having a plurality of interconnected passages. The porous substrate and the coating are configured to treat at least one contaminant, if any, present in the flowing medium.
APPARATUS FOR A MOLECULAR IMPRINTED PROTECTIVE FACE MASK
Disclosed herein is a molecular imprinted protective face mask comprising a supportive structure, a surface material that receives and retains a molecular imprint and that is positioned to contact airborne molecules during use, a molecular imprint of a bioactive molecule wherein an imprinted cavity is at least one of a bioactive molecule with a molecular configuration that captures a specific airborne and/or microdroplet-borne molecule and a protein with a binding site that captures a specific molecule.
SYSTEM FOR MOLECULAR IMPRINTED PROTECTIVE FACE MASK

Filter material and filter element produced therefrom
The invention relates to a filter material comprising a carrier material that is impregnated on one side with a thermally pre-crosslinked binder system (VB) and on the other side with a thermally crosslinkable but un-crosslinked binder system (UB). The filter material is characterised by improved deformability and a very good level of heat sealability, particularly using ultrasound, and a low pressure differential particularly when filtering high-viscosity liquids.
OPEN CELL OR RETICULATED FOAM HAVING 3-DIMENSIONAL OPEN-NETWORK STRUCTURE MADE OF A HYDROPHOBIC MATERIAL FOR SELECTIVE SEPARATION OF MINERAL PARTICLES
An engineered collection medium for use in mineral separation is described. The engineered collection medium has a solid phase body configured with a three-dimensional open-cell structure like foam or sponge to provide collection surfaces. The three-dimensional surface structure is made of a hydrophobic material which is a reaction product of isocyanate and polyol promotes the attraction of mineral particles to the collection surfaces as a hydrophobic foam. The hydrophobic foam can be in the form of a cube, sphere, or sheet and can be used in a filter or conveyor belt in a processor.
FILTER MEDIA COMPRISING POLYAMIDE FIBERS
Filter media, including those suitable for hydraulic, fuel, HVAC, HEPA, and/or other applications, and related methods are provided. In some embodiments, a filter media described herein may include a layer (e.g., a fine fiber layer) comprising a plurality of fibers comprising polyamide 11. In some embodiments, a filter media comprises a layer (e.g., a fine fiber layer) comprising a plurality of electrospun fibers comprising a material having one or more advantageous properties. In an exemplary set of embodiments, the plurality of fibers comprise polyamide 11 (e.g., Nylon 11). In some embodiments, the polyamide 11 fibers are produced by an electrospinning process.
Air Filtering Cover Engageable with Infant Carrier
An air filtering cover is configured to engage over an infant carrier to filter air communicated into an interior cavity thereof. A cover body has a top wall having a pocket with two sidewalls and a filter element and form a flowpath for air communicating through the body and filter to remove dirt, dust, and pathogens from air reaching the occupant of the interior cavity. The filter may be replaceable within a pocket formed in the cover body. A gauge strip may be positioned on the filter which changes in appearance when the filter needs replacement.
PROTECTOR FOR A DRAIN
A drain protector (1) is provided which has a conformable bottom frame (3) having a central opening that is closed by a filter element (4) spanning the opening. The filter element is capable of removing silt from water on a building site. The bottom frame is capable of conforming to the surface terrain around a drain opening due to the compressive weight of the drain protector in-situ. There is a porous top frame (2) that provides additional separation for debris from silted water and also provides compression weight for the bottom frame. The drain protector (1) may be removed, cleaned and reused.
FILTRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
Method and systems for filtration of harmful particles are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method for making a filtration system for use with a facial covering includes producing a liquid polymerized copper substate, creating a barrier layer by coating a filter media with the liquid copper substrate to coat the filter media with polymerized copper, and binding the barrier layer between two textile layers, wherein each of the two textile layers provides a tortuous path for particles to pass. A filtration system includes a barrier layer including a filter media coated with particulate copper and a polymer.
Air filter precleaner
An apparatus and methods are provided for an air filter precleaner for an open air filter box. The air filter precleaner includes a filter medium between a base and a grating that are fastened over an opening into an interior of the air filter box. The filter medium comprises a sheet of filter material having a shape and a size suitable for being supported between the base and the grating. The base is a rigid member that supports the filter medium in a sheet configuration, such that the airstream passes through the filter medium before entering the air filter box. The grating is a rigid member comprising a screen portion surrounded by a frame that is configured to be fastened onto the air filter box. The screen portion comprises a shaped lattice that allows the airstream to pass through the filter medium before entering the air filter box.
