A degassing device for discharging gases from a battery for a motor vehicle, which battery includes at least one first battery cell with an at least releasable first degassing opening. The degassing device has at least one first gas space which can be fluidically coupled to the releasable first degassing opening of the at least one first battery cell, so that gas exiting the degassing opening can be introduced into the at least one first gas space, and has a particle trap device for separating particles from the gas flowing through the particle trap device. The particle trap device is fluidically connected to the at least one first gas space.

A surface-enhanced copper filter for air purification and a filter assembly with a surface-enhanced copper filter composed, at least in part, of substantially pure copper. The surface-enhanced copper filter uses the anti-microbial and electrostatic properties of elemental copper to inactivate biological contaminants and remove biological contaminants and other pollutants from the air. Also disclosed is a system and method using a filter assembly having a surface-enhanced copper filter to purify air. The disclosed surface-enhanced copper filter can be used in a stationary or mobile HVAC system or in a mobile air purification system.
POWDER SPRAYING SYSTEM, POWDER SPRAYING NOZZLE AND METHOD
A powder spraying system comprises a source of dry powder (4), a spray nozzle (25), and a supply conduit (16) connecting the source of dry powder with the spray nozzle. The spray nozzle comprises a nozzle body (50) having a nozzle outlet (51), a first conduit (52) for dry powder, and a second conduit (53) for gas. The first conduit extends between a powder inlet (54) in communication with the supply conduit and a powder outlet (55). The second conduit extends between a gas inlet (56) and a gas outlet (57), the gas outlet being located in proximity to the powder outlet such that a gas flowing through the second conduit and out of the gas outlet produces a suction force at the powder outlet to promote flow of a dry powder through the first conduit and out of the powder outlet and the nozzle outlet. The powder outlet and the gas outlet are orientated to promote mixing of the gas with the dry powder. The first conduit (52) is a straight conduit between the powder inlet (54) and the powder outlet (55).
HOLLOW CYLINDRICAL FILTER AND MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
Embodiments of the present invention provide a hollow cylindrical filter for removing efficiently foreign substances from fluids. This is performed by forming complicated passages including an axial direction and a radial direction in the filter. The hollow cylindrical filter is formed by winding a metal wire rod in a spiral and multilayered manner. The metal wire rod includes a recess formed throughout the entire length in a longitudinal direction, or recesses repeated along said longitudinal direction. Some wire rod layers extend in an axial direction of the hollow cylindrical filter while the adjacent wire rod layers extend in an intersecting direction, thereby forming a plurality of communication paths for communicating between the overlapping wire rod layers. Additionally, a space is formed between the recess of one wire rod layer and another adjacent wire rod layer, allowing the plurality of communication paths to communicate with each other.
