WASTE TANK FILTER FOR A VEHICLE
Some embodiments of the invention include a filter for a waste tank, the filter including a housing with a pair of end fittings; an inner tube positioned within the housing, the inner tube having perforated walls; and a negatively charged resin positioned between the housing and the inner tube. The first end fitting may be configured to attach to the tank's vent line, and the second end fitting may be configured to attach to external venting tubes such that fumes from the waste tank are configured to flow from the waste tank, through the inner tube of the filter, and away from the waste tank.
Three-part end cap and filter element including same
A multi-component end cap is provided. The multiple components combine to form one or more seal carriers where each seal carrier is formed in part by at least two different ones of the components. Methods of manufacturing an end cap having multiple components are also provided.
AIR FILTER FOR TURBOCHARGERS AND SUPERCHARGERS
An apparatus and a method are provided for an air filter configured to be mounted onto air inlets of turbochargers and superchargers. The air filter comprises a proximal base including an inlet receiver configured to receive an air inlet, a clamp to secure the air inlet within the inlet receiver, and a first opening aligned with a screw mechanism of the clamp. A filter medium fastened to the proximal base is configured to remove particulate matter and other contaminates from an incoming air stream. A distal end cap fastened to the filter medium comprises a second opening aligned with the first opening. A conduit within an interior cavity of the air filter is disposed between the first opening and the second opening, facilitating tightening and loosening the clamp by extending an appropriate tool through the interior cavity so as to engage the screw mechanism of the clamp.
SUPER-PLEATED VEHICLE AIR FILTER
An apparatus and method are provided for an air filter configured to be mounted onto an air inlet of an internal combustion engine. The air filter comprises a first end cap configured to couple with a base which is configured to support a conventional air filter and provide an interface between the conventional air filter and the air inlet. A filter medium which is relatively thicker than the conventional air filter is configured to remove particulate matter and other contaminates from an incoming airstream. A second end cap is configured to couple with a cover which is configured to fasten the conventional air filter and the base onto the air inlet, such that the incoming airstream is directed through the filter medium. The air filter is configured to be installed in place of the conventional air filter without necessitating alteration of the base and cover.
Filtering Device, Filtering Element and Maintenance Process of a Filtering Device
The present invention belongs to the technical sector of fluid filtration systems which can be used for air filtration in an internal combustion engine.
The invention refers to a filtering device (1) including a filtering element (24) which presents an open axial end (26) and an axial end (27) closed by a cover (28); and an intake cover (7). The said cover (28) includes at least a first tubular boss (55) projecting towards the intake cover (7); and the intake cover (7) includes at least a second tubular boss (57) complementary to the first tubular boss (55) and projecting towards the cover (28); the first tubular boss (55) is slotted in the second tubular boss (57).
The invention also refers to a tubular filtering element (24) and to a maintenance process of a filtering device.
COMBINED USE OF AIR-OIL SEPARATOR AND OIL FILTER IN SYSTEMS REQUIRING OIL SEPARATION AND FILTRATION
The present invention relates to operation of air-oil separators and oil filters used in systems requiring oil separation and filtration on a single block. In other words, the present invention discloses an oil separation and filtration system having an air-oil separator and an oil filter.
PULSE AIR CLEANER SYSTEM WITH PULSE TUBE EXTENSION
An assembly and system of an air cleaner for a vehicle is described herein. The air cleaner assembly and systems include a filter cartridge extending along a longitudinal axis between a first filter end and a second filter end. The filter cartridge includes filter media configured to filter air passing through the filter media. The filter cartridge includes a cartridge passage defined by an inner filter surface of the filter cartridge. The air cleaner assembly and systems also include a pulse tube extension coupled to the filter cartridge and extending into the cartridge passage along the longitudinal axis such that an outer tube surface of the pulse tube extension faces the inner filter surface of the filter cartridge. The pulse tube extension defines a tube passage located within the cartridge passage.
FILTER ELEMENT WITH INTEGRAL BREATHER FILTER
The technology disclosed herein relates to a filter element having a first endcap, a second endcap, and filter media extending between the first endcap and the second endcap. The filter media defines a central opening and is coupled to the first endcap and the second endcap. A filter cover is coupled to the first endcap, and a breather filter is integral to the filter cover. The breather filter defines a first flow face and a second flow face. The filter element defines an airflow pathway from ambient environment through the first flow face and the second flow face.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IRRADIATING AIR IN AN AIR CIRCULATION SYSTEM OF A VEHICLE
An apparatus for irradiating air flow in a vehicle includes a filter unit configured to couple to a recirculating-air conduit connected to a manifold of an air circulation system, the filter unit having an inlet end, and a filter disposed in the inlet end of the filter unit, including an outer wall of filter media having a shape that defines an interior volume of the filter. The apparatus further includes an ultraviolet light disposed on an end plate, configured to be mounted with the ultraviolet light positioned in the interior volume of the filter and the end plate against an open end of the filter. The ultraviolet light is configured to emit ultraviolet radiation substantially at between 222 nm and 265 nm for irradiating air flow through the filter into the air circulation system.
