FILTER ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR SERVICING A FILTER SYSTEM
A filter element for filtering a fluid comprising a filter medium pack having an axial inlet side for receiving the unfiltered fluid and a circumferential side forming a radial boundary of the filter medium pack. The filter medium pack is configured for insertion into a housing of a filter system so as to enclose or partly enclose the circumferential side of the filter medium pack with an outer sidewall of the housing. The filter element comprises a bridge seal arrangement having a first collar-shaped portion comprising a first circumferential sealing surface sealingly coupled to the circumferential side of the filter medium pack or sealingly coupled to a border of the axial inlet side, and a second collar-shaped portion comprising a second circumferential sealing surface configured for encircling and sealingly cooperating with the outer sidewall of the housing.
Fluid Delivery System For Exhaust Aftertreatment System
A fluid delivery system for an exhaust aftertreatment system may include an outer housing, a pump, a filter assembly, an electric heating blanket, and a heater retention plate. The heater retention plate is shaped to correspond to the shapes of the pump and filter assembly. A lid of the outer housing contacts the heater retention plate and clamps the heating blanket between the heater retention plate and the pump and filter assembly so that the heating blanket takes the shapes of portions of the pump and filter assembly. The outer housing includes mounting flanges and reinforcement members extending from corresponding mounting flanges to corresponding sidewalls of the outer housing and forming a hollow space therebetween. The filter assembly includes compensation elements that contract in response to expansion of fluid within a pump housing due to freezing and expand in response to thawing of the fluid.
INTERFACE SEAL ASSEMBLY FOR A TUBULAR FILTER ELEMENT
An interface seal assembly for sealing a tubular filter element relative to a first component and a second component of a fluid filtration system. The interface seal assembly comprises an body located between the first and second components, and having: an aperture extending through the body for communicating with an internal cavity of the filter element; a first mounting surface comprising a first seal groove; and a second mounting surface opposite the first mounting surface, comprising a second seal groove. One of the first and second seal grooves has a circular shape, and the other has a non-circular shape. A first seal is located in the first seal groove, for sealing the interface body relative to one of the first and second components. A second seal is located in the second seal groove, for sealing the body relative to the other of the first and second components.
Aerosol separator assembly; components; and, methods
A filter cartridge for use in separating a hydrophobic liquid aerosol phase from a gas stream, as a crankcase ventilation filter for example, is described. The cartridge includes a media pack comprising filtration media surrounding an open interior and a first end piece. Various structure included on the first end piece is described. An example is a D-shaped projection. Also described is an assembly including the filter cartridge, specific features of a housing component of the assembly. Methods of assembly and use are also described.
Filter elements, air cleaner assemblies, and methods of use and assembly
Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly includes a housing and cover within which primary and secondary filter cartridges, having a media pack and a seal arrangement surrounding the media pack, can be installed. The filter cartridges can include an open end cap with an axially deviating seal arrangement and a plurality of axially extending channels for engaging with ribs on the housing. The filter cartridges can also include extension members extending from the open end cap that include the axially extending channels, entirely or partially. The filter cartridges can also include a guide member extending from the extension members for providing a low friction surface against the housing during installation that allows axial force exerted by the installer to be translated into a rotational force that rotates the filter cartridge during installation.
AIR OIL SEPARATOR
An air oil separator includes a removable and replaceable filter element. The filter element can include a flange-receiving recess in a first end cap construction. Alternatively, the first end cap construction can include alternating radially protruding projections and radially inward recesses. Alternatively, the end cap construction can include a first section contained within a plane and a second section sloping from the first section.
Radial seal air filter
Various example embodiments relate to a filtration system. The filtration system comprises a housing having a first housing end and a second housing end. The housing defines a central compartment therein. The housing comprises a first alignment portion disposed on the first housing end. The filtration system further comprises a filter element positioned within the central compartment of the housing. The filter element has a first filter end and a second filter end. The filter element comprises filter media and a second alignment portion disposed on the first filter end. The second alignment portion is complementary to the first alignment portion. The installation of the filter element within the housing causes the first alignment surface and the second alignment surface to align to provide for engagement of a radial seal between the filter element and the housing.
FILTERING SYSTEM INCLUDING IMPERMEABLE EXTENSION FOR FILTERING ELEMENT
The present invention provides a filtering system including an impermeable extension for a filtering element.
Filter device, in particular for gas filtration
A filter device is provided with a filter housing and a housing cover closing off the filter housing. A filter element is disposed in the filter housing. The filter element has a clamping element that is resting with a clamping force on a first housing part that is provided on the filter housing or on the housing cover. The filter element further has a lever element that, in the mounted state of the filter element in the filter housing, is resting on a second housing part that is provided on the filter housing or on the housing cover and force-loads the clamping element against the first housing part. The clamping element and the lever element form a single part and are preferably provided on an end disk of the filter element.
NESTED FILTER FOR USE IN A MIST COALESCER UNIT
A droplet coalescing filter cartridge is provided. The filter cartridge includes an outer filter tube and an inner filter tube disposed within the outer filter tube, and is configured to provide parallel filtration of a fluid flow. The filter includes a depth media configured to coalesce fine droplets or aerosols from an air flow. The filter cartridge is suitable for use in a coalescing filter assembly including the filter cartridge and a secondary filter element.
