Filter element and a filter assembly

A filter assembly 7 for separating contaminants from a fluid stream is described. The filter assembly 7 comprises a filter element 58 which is locatable within chamber 19 in a flow path extending between inlet 54 and outlet 56. The filter element 58 comprises a filter media component 60, and the filter element is locatable within the chamber 19 in the flow path so that fluid flowing from the inlet 54 to the outlet 56 is directed through the filter media component. The filter assembly 7 comprises at least one first alignment assembly having a first alignment component 64a provided by the housing portion 21c and disposed within chamber 19, and a second alignment component 66a provided by the filter element 58. The first and second alignment components 64a and 66a cooperate to rotationally orient the filter element 58 within the chamber 19.

ULTRASONIC INSPECTION FOR CERAMIC STRUCTURES

Methods, systems, and devices for ultrasonic inspection for ceramic structures are described. The method may include transmitting, via an ultrasonic transmitter, an ultrasonic waveform through the ceramic structure, where the ceramic structure includes two opposing ends and one or more outer faces extending between the two opposing ends, the one or more outer faces being at least partially enclosed by a casing and the ultrasonic transmitter being positioned adjacent to a first of the two opposing ends. The method may also include receiving a propagated waveform via an ultrasonic receiver positioned adjacent to a second of the two opposing ends and generating an image based at least in part on the propagated waveform, the image illustrating at least a portion of the casing and one or more detected features of the ceramic structure at the one or more outer faces of the ceramic structure adjacent to the casing.

They are kept in contact with each other along a direction parallel to their length; the filtering elements (2) enclose, between them, flow channels (3). The method for manufacturing a filtering assembly (1) of the dust collector includes the steps of: permanently deforming a sheet of a filtering material so as to obtain a corrugated sheet (8) with a cross-section defined by repetitions of ′Ω-shaped forms that are connected to each other; and coupling two deformed sheets, so as to keep the straight parts of the ′Ω-shaped forms in contact and to obtain rows of filtering elements (2).

A side-covered axial flow filter has a housing, a filter core, a filter frame, and a side cover. When assembling, the filter frame and the filter core are both obliquely installed into the housing. Limiting ribs of the filter frame are obliquely mounted between first pushing panels and a clamping surface of the housing, and inner pushing parts of the limiting ribs abut the first pushing panels. The portions of the inner pushing parts abutting the first pushing panels serve as fulcrums to straighten the filter core and the filter frame, so outer pushing parts of the limiting ribs may abut the clamping surfaces of the housing and generate a strong torque and a tightly sealing effect without much effort. The side cover also abuts the filter frame when assembled on the housing, so the filter frame is under balanced pressure to avoid leak.

A pillar shaped honeycomb structure includes: a porous partition wall that defines a plurality of cells, the cells forming flow paths for a fluid, the cells extending from an inflow end face to an outflow end face; and an outer peripheral wall located at the outermost circumference. At least a part of surfaces of the partition walls has a surface layer, and the surface layer includes magnetic particles and has permeability.

Particulate filter for an internal combustion engine and method for producing such a particulate filter

A particulate filter for exhaust-gas aftertreatment in an internal combustion engine has a housing on which an inlet and an outlet are configured on opposite ends. The particulate filter also has a filter element arranged in the housing, said filter element having essentially parallel filter channels that are each alternatingly closed on the inlet side or on the outlet side by a closure in order to prevent gas from passing directly through the filter element. In this context, the filter channels can be divided into a first group of filter channels which are closed on the outlet side by a closure, and into a second group of filter channels which are closed on the inlet side by a gas-tight closure. The filter channels of the second group are additionally closed on the outlet side by a high-porosity closure in order to improve the cleaning effect of the particulate filter.
