FILTER CARTRIDGES; AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES; HOUSINGS; FEATURES; COMPONENTS; AND, METHODS
Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly cannot be fully closed, even if a cartridge is nested therein, and appears to be sealed, unless that cartridge is a proper one for the system of concern. The effect is to prevent an inappropriate cartridge, that does not properly seal, from being inadvertently installed in the assembly.
Air filter arrangement; assembly; and, methods
An air cleaner arrangement is shown. The air cleaner arrangement includes a serviceable filter cartridge. A preferred filter cartridge positionable within an air cleaner arrangement, is depicted.
PLEATED FILTRATION MEDIA, MEDIA PACKS, FILTER ELEMENTS, AND METHODS FOR FILTERING FLUIDS
Pleated filtration media, media packs, filter elements, and methods for filtering fluid are provided which contain three dimensional flutes in the media surface, the flutes configured to improve filter performance. In certain embodiments the flutes have defined peaks that reduce masking between adjacent pleats, the flutes have ridges along their length to modify flute cross sectional geometry, and/or the flutes provide for volume asymmetry across the media
Filter Media Packs, Methods of Making and Filter Media Presses
The disclosure is directed toward presses which may comprise planar or curved press plates that can be driven toward and away from each other such as via linear reciprocating movement to press filter media sheets as opposed to using rolls. The press plates can create such features as embossments that may have the ridges and grooves, brands, creases or other such features. The press can create pleated packs or individual panels for non-pleated packs. Additionally, a variety of embossed pleat packs, unique shapes, structural components and other pleat packs that may be formed by presses or other methodology are disclosed as well as filter cartridges using such pleat packs.
Air filter arrangement; air cleaner assembly; and, methods
A media pack for including in a filter cartridge of an air filter arrangement, is provided. A variety of configurations for the media pack are described and shown, an example shown being trapezoidal. Filter cartridges including such media packs, air cleaner assemblies and equipment systems are described. Also methods of use assembly are described.
AIR FILTER ARRANGEMENTS; ASSEMBLIES; AND, METHODS
Air cleaner assemblies and components therefor are described. An example first or main filter cartridge is described which includes a media pack comprising fluted material secured to facing sheets. The media pack defines opposite inlet and outlet flow faces, with flutes extending in a direction therebetween. The cartridge defines a closed end, spaced from, but in overlap with, the outlet end face of the media pack.
HIGH TEMPERATURE FILTER ASSEMBLY
A high efficiency air filter assembly (100) for high temperature applications comprising: a filter core (102) including a unitary sheet of air-permeable filter media folded in accordion fashion to form a plurality of side-by-side pleats with zig-zag edges on two opposite sides and flat panels on the other two sides, and a spacer member between opposing walls of successive pleats, a box-like metal frame (108) enclosing said filter core on four sides in air tight engagement to define an air flow opening extending between upstream and downstream sides of said assembly, wherein the zig-zag edges of the unitary sheet of air-permeable filter media are sealingly embedded in a solid inorganic sealant composition (118) in the frame, and wherein the unitary sheet of air-permeable filter media preferably consists of a binder-free glass or mineral fiber filter media. Use of the high efficiency air filter assembly in high temperature applications wherein the filter assembly is repeatedly or continuously heated to a temperature in the range of 200-500? C.
Filter
An object of the present invention is to provide a low pressure loss filter having a high dust- and dirt-collecting capability and excellent workability and sustainability of collecting capability. The filter of the present invention is a filter having air channels formed using an electret sheet; a porosity of the electret sheet being from 1 to 70%; an air channel cross-sectional ratio of the filter being from 10 to 99%; and a volume charge density of the filter being from 10 to 5000 nC/cm.sup.3.
FILTER WITH PREFORMED END CAPS HAVING NOTCH FEATURE
A filter including a filter media pack, first and second preform members and first and second adhesives is provided. The first preform member is disposed over the media pack. The first preform member has a wall defining a well. The wall defines a notch. The first adhesive in the well attaches the first preform member to the filter media pack. The first adhesive has a contact region disposed in the notch. The second preform member is disposed over the first preform member. The second adhesive bonds the first preform member over the first preform member. The second adhesive engages with the first adhesive at the contact region.
FILTER MEDIA, FILTER MEDIA PACKS, AND FILTER ELEMENTS
Embodiments include an air filtration media pack comprising a plurality of layers of fluted media, each layer comprising a facing sheet and a fluted sheet, the fluted sheet comprising a first plurality of flutes and a second plurality of flutes, the first and second plurality of flutes being arranged in a parallel flow configuration; wherein the first and second plurality of flutes exhibit regular repeating differences in flute shape, flute size, flute height, flute width, cross-flute area, or filter media.
