FILTER CARTRIDGES; AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES; HOUSINGS; FEATURES; COMPONENTS; AND, METHODS
Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly cannot be fully closed, even if a cartridge is nested therein, and appears to be sealed, unless that cartridge is a proper one for the system of concern. The effect is to prevent an inappropriate cartridge, that does not properly seal, from being inadvertently installed in the assembly.
Air filter arrangement; assembly; and, methods
An air cleaner arrangement is shown. The air cleaner arrangement includes a serviceable filter cartridge. A preferred filter cartridge positionable within an air cleaner arrangement, is depicted.
FILTRATION MEDIA PACK, FILTER ELEMENT, AND METHODS
A filtration media pack is provided having a plurality of layers of single facer media. The layer of single facer media includes a fluted sheet, a facing sheet, and a plurality of flutes extending between the fluted sheet and the facing sheet and having a flute length extending from a first face to a second face of the filtration media pack. A first portion of the plurality of flutes are closed to unfiltered fluid flowing into the first portion of the plurality of flutes, and a second portion of the plurality of flutes are closed to unfiltered fluid flowing out of the second portion of the plurality of flutes so that fluid passing into one of the first face and the second face of the media pack and out the other face of the media pack passes through media to provide filtration of the fluid.
Air filter arrangement; air cleaner assembly; and, methods
A media pack for including in a filter cartridge of an air filter arrangement, is provided. A variety of configurations for the media pack are described and shown, an example shown being trapezoidal. Filter cartridges including such media packs, air cleaner assemblies and equipment systems are described. Also methods of use assembly are described.
Filtration media packs comprising plurality of bosses between filter media, filter elements, and methods for manufacturing
The present disclosure relates to filtration media packs, filter elements, and methods for manufacturing filtration media packs and filter elements. The present disclosure is directed to filtration media packs having alternating first media sheet and second media sheet secured together and forming a first flow face and a second flow face, wherein the first media sheet and the second media sheet provide a first separation or gap therebetween as a result of the presence of a first plurality of protrusions or bosses extending from at least one of the first media sheet or the second media sheet, and a second separation or gap therebetween as a result of a second plurality of protrusions or bosses extending from at least one of the first media sheet or the second media sheet, and the media pack being closed to passage of unfiltered fluid therethrough from the first flow face to the second flow face or from the second flow face to the first flow face without filtering passage through the first media sheet or the second media sheet.
Electretized sheet and filter
The electret-treated sheet includes: a core layer (A) which is a porous film containing at least a thermoplastic resin; a surface layer (X) disposed on one side of the core layer (A); and a back surface layer (Y) disposed on the other side of the core layer (A), the surface layer (X) and the back surface layer (Y) each having a charged outermost surface, wherein the electret-treated sheet has a water vapor permeability coefficient of 0.1 to 2.5 g.Math.mm/m.sup.2.Math.24 hr; the core layer (A) has a pore aspect ratio of 5 to 50 and an average pore height of 2.5 to 15 μm; the surface layer (X) and the back surface layer (Y) each have a thickness of 5 to 200 μm; and the surface layer (X) includes a heat seal layer (B) including the outermost surface, wherein the heat seal layer (B) has a melting point of 50 to 140° C.
Filter Elements, Air Cleaner Assemblies, and Methods of Use and Assembly
Air cleaner assemblies, components therefor, and features thereof are described. Also described are methods of assembly and use. In depicted examples, the air cleaner assemblies and components optionally use advantageous housing seal features. Methods of assembly and use are described.
Filter element with tapered perimeter
Various example embodiments relate to filter elements. One such filter element includes filter media having a plurality of flow channels. Each of the plurality of flow channels comprises an inlet having an inlet height and an outlet having an outlet height. The inlet height is larger than the outlet height. The filter media defines an inlet face having an inlet face area and an outlet face having an outlet face area. The inlet face is structured to receive air to be filtered. The outlet face is structured to output filtered air. The inlet face area is larger than the outlet face area.
Air filter arrangement; assembly; and, methods
An air filter media construction or arrangement is disclosed. The air filter media construction or arrangement includes media comprising opposite inlet and outlet flow faces, with a perimeter housing seal. Also described are serviceable filter cartridges and air cleaners including the filter cartridges. Methods of assembly and use are also provided.
