System and method for improving the performance and lowering the cost of atmospheric carbon dioxide removal by direct air capture
Systems and methods for an atmospheric carbon dioxide removal system that includes a plurality of carbon capture containers, a plurality of fans, an air diverter, and a velocity stack. Each of the carbon capture containers has an outwardly facing side and an inwardly facing side with the inwardly facing side facing an enclosed space. The fans are disposed adjacent to the carbon capture containers. The fans are arranged to move air through the carbon capture containers in a first direction from the outwardly facing side into the enclosed space. The air diverter is disposed within the enclosed space and receives the air flowing in the first direction and redirects the air to flow in a second direction that is angled upwardly from the first direction. The velocity stack is disposed on top of the enclosed space and is configured to accelerate the flow of the air in the second direction.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING CONCENTRATED OXYGEN TO A USER
The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a portable oxygen concentrator. The portable oxygen concentrator may comprise an input configured to receive air flow, a column comprising a housing, an outer porous tube, an inner porous tube, and an inner cavity, and an output configured to release oxygen to a user. The inner porous tube comprises an adsorbent bed comprising a plurality of zeolites, and the column is configured to channel air radially through and across the outer porous tube, through and across the adsorbent bed in the inner porous tube, into the inner cavity of the column, and through the output. When the air flow contacts the adsorbent bed, oxygen is released.
Adsorption-Based Claus Tail Gas Treatment through Regeneration Temperature Ramping
A system and method for sulfur recovery, including hydrogenating Claus tail gas, quenching the hydrogenated gas, adsorbing water and hydrogen sulfide from the quenched gas, and regenerating adsorbent with carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen and heating the adsorbent in a regeneration temperature ramp to desorb primarily hydrogen sulfide in a first part of the temperature ramp.
Dehydration processes utilizing cationic zeolite RHO
Disclosed are processes and systems for the removal of water from a feed stream utilizing swing adsorption processes including an adsorbent bed comprising an adsorbent material which is a cationic zeolite RHO. The cationic zeolite RHO comprises at least one, preferably two, metal cations selected from Group 1 and 2 elements (new Group 1-18 IUPAC numbering). The swing adsorption processes and systems utilizing the cationic zeolite RHO have an adsorption selectivity for water and are useful in selective dehydration of commercial feed streams. The cationic zeolite RHO additionally has an exceptionally high water adsorption stability for use in feed streams with wet acid gas environments operating under cyclic swing adsorption conditions.
REGENERABLE AIR FILTER
A heat resistant regenerable air filter assembly for an air supplying application an air permeable adsorbent panel (1) mounted in a frame (2), said panel comprising a heat resistant structure comprising a heat resistant porous adsorbent material for adsorbing molecular contamination and being configured to be regenerated by desorption, and said air filter assembly comprising a heat resistant sealing material (3) between the adsorbent panel and the frame, where the heat resistant sealing material is a carbon fiber felt material arranged between the air permeable adsorbent panel and the frame so as to fill the distance therebetween, thereby preventing leakage of unfiltered air through the heat regenerable air filter assembly; and a method (100) of regenerating the air filter assembly.
Process for removing oxygen from a hydrogen stream
An adsorption process is provided to remove oxygen from a hydrogen stream through the use of a copper material in combination with layers of adsorbent to remove water and nitrogen from a hydrogen stream. This process is particularly useful for purification of hydrogen product gas from water electrolyzers with the hydrogen product gas having greater than 99.9 mol % purity.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING BROMINE PENTAFLUORIDE
There is provided a method for producing high-purity bromine pentafluoride while leaving a less amount of an unreacted fluorine gas. The method for producing bromine pentafluoride includes a reaction step of feeding a bromine-containing compound, which is at least one of a bromine gas and bromine trifluoride, and a fluorine gas to a reactor to give a (fluorine atom):(bromine atom) molar ratio, that is, F/Br of 3.0 or more and 4.7 or less and reacting the bromine-containing compound and the fluorine gas to each other to obtain a reaction mixture containing bromine pentafluoride and bromine trifluoride; and a separation step of separating bromine pentafluoride and bromine trifluoride in the reaction mixture from each other.
Device for limiting or eliminating the migration of particles between two layers
A device configured to be interposed between a lower layer and an upper layer of particles arranged inside a cylindrical shell, thereby limiting or preventing the migration of particles between the layers.
Method of Producing a Cooled Syngas of Improved Quality
A system and method for processing unconditioned syngas first removes solids and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOC), then removes volatile organic compounds (VOC), and then removes at least one sulfur containing compound from the syngas. Additional processing may be performed depending on such factors as the source of syngas being processed, the products, byproducts and intermediate products desired to be formed, captured or recycled and environmental considerations.
System for treating malodorous gas from sludge
The present application provides a system for treating malodorous gas from sludge, which includes an air compressor, a first pressure swing adsorption tower, a second pressure swing adsorption tower, a buffer tank, a decomposition tank, an exhaust gas scrubber and a vacuum device. The present invention relates to a process for treating malodorous gas from sludge treatment, which includes: compressing the malodorous gas by using an air compressor, and adsorbing by using a pressure swing adsorbent. The air for removing the malodorous component is configured for sludge separation and aerobic aeration in the treatment tank. When the pressure swing adsorbent reaches the design upper limit value, the intake air is stopped, decompression and desorption start, and the enriched malodorous component is sent to catalytic combustion or photocatalytic decomposition, and then the acid gas in the tail gas is neutralized with an alkaline absorbent, and finally discharged to the standard.
