ADSORBER WITH ROTARY DRYER
A (V)PSA unit for purifying a gas stream by adsorption is provided. The (V)PSA unit comprises, arranged successively in the direction of flow of the feed gas stream, a rotary-structured adsorbent wheel configured so as to drive the gas stream therethrough in an axial manner and allowing the feed gas to dry to a level corresponding to a dew point below −30 C, and an adsorber with a centripetal radial configuration, comprising a bed of particulate adsorbent.
Radial Flow Adsorption Vessel with an Integrated Loading Device
A radial flow adsorption vessel comprising a cylindrical outer shell having a top end and a bottom end, the top end is enclosed by a vessel head that provides a centrical opening usable as a port to introduce or remove adsorbent particles into or from the vessel; at least one annular adsorption space disposed inside the shell, the at least one annular adsorption space defined by an outer and inner cylindrical porous wall, both co-axially disposed inside the shell; and a loading device for the adsorbent particles positioned above the at least one annular adsorption space at the top end of the vessel, the loading device comprises at least one conical element that extends radially to the outer cylindrical porous wall, the at least one conical element provides a plurality of orifices arranged at least in a region sitting above the at least one annular adsorption space.
Air pollution remediation system for large open-air spaces
An air pollution remediation system is provided. The systemic apparatus includes a tubular column having a plurality of spaced apart vents along its outer surface. Each vent has adjustable louvers for controlling the airflow therethrough. An airflow conduit extends along the longitudinal length of the column with porous layers and a mass of absorbent disposed between the airflow conduit and the plurality of vents. A fan fluidly coupled to the airflow conduit urges ambient air into the airflow conduit and through the porous layers and the mass of absorbent and out of the vents in a selectively controlled manner by way of the adjustable louvers. A prefilter may be disposed upstream of the fan. A network of the systemic apparatus can be arranged to provide, in a selective enabled manner through the adjustable louvers, a contiguous looping canopy of purified air over large open spaces.
RADIAL FLOW REACTOR
The present disclosure relates to a radial flow reactor including a pair of beds configured to produce a product by processing a raw material supplied thereto. A substance being produced or the product is movable between the pair of beds before the product is moved to a separate reservoir. The ratio of the area of an outlet with respect to the area of an inlet in each of the pair of beds is adjusted such that, when the substance being produced or the product is introduced into the outlet of one bed of the pair of beds from the other bed of the pair of beds, limited processing efficiency caused by the limited area of the outlet in each of the pair of beds is overcome.
