Cleansing Lamp utilizing Metal-Organic Framework
An LED lighting fixture powered by a Metal-Organic Framework heat battery. The heat battery is formed of a canister, a MOF container comprised of a plurality of MOF tunnels, each MOF tunnel containing a powdered MOF material, a gate, and a plurality of thermoelectric devices.
Below a certain adsorption activation temperature, the MOF material adsorbs a gas from the atmosphere. Above a certain desorption activation temperature, the MOF desorbs the gas. The heat from the adsorption is used to generate electrical current. The desorbed gas is captured to remove it from the atmosphere.

A portable dehumidifying chamber includes a frame of a structure configured to include a first zone, a second zone, and a third zone, where a plurality of exterior walls coupled to the frame of the structure isolate the first zone, the second zone, and third zone from surrounding environmental conditions. A heating device disposed in the first zone to facilitate heated air flow from the first zone to the third zone, where the heated air flow contacts an object disposed in the second zone to facilitate dehumidification of the object. A conduit connecting the third zone to the first zone, where the conduit allows for humidified air flow to bypass the second zone, where the conduit includes a moisture removing apparatus. A first vapor barrier material separates the first zone and the second zone and a second vapor barrier material separates the second zone and the third zone.
Method and Apparatus for Adiabatic Calcium Looping
A method and apparatus for decarbonizing gases using pressure swing in a first and second pressure vessel that each comprise a fixed bed sorbent. Syngas and steam are received in the first pressure vessel. A carbonation reaction is performed in the first pressure vessel that reacts carbonaceous species in the received syngas with the received steam to produce carbon dioxide and hydrogen. Decarbonated syngas is exhausted from first pressure vessel. A calcination reaction is performed in the second pressure vessel to produce carbon dioxide. A vacuum is provided to the second pressure vessel that causes carbon dioxide to exhaust from the second pressurized vessel at a pressure that substantially follows the decomposition pressure line.
Thermally conductive structure for multi-direction flow through packed bed
A packed bed for a heat exchanger may comprise a frame and a first fin layer disposed within the frame. A second fin layer may be disposed within the frame. A first perforated sheet may be disposed between the first fin layer and the second fin layer. A sorbent material may be disposed within a volume of at least one of the first fin layer or the second fin layer.
Chemical substance concentrator and chemical substance detection device
A chemical substance concentrator is configured to concentrate a chemical substance contained in a gaseous sample. The concentrator includes a flow passage having a hollow part allowing the gaseous sample flows through the hollow part, first and second electrodes disposed on an inner wall of the flow passage, an electrode wiring connected to the first and second electrodes, a material layer disposed on the electrode wiring, and an adsorbent disposed on the material layer. The adsorbent is configured to adsorb the chemical substance and to desorb the adsorbed chemical substance. The chemical substance concentrator is capable of efficiently desorbing the adsorbed chemical substances.
Metal organic framework based water capture apparatus
An apparatus for capturing a water content from a water containing gas, the apparatus comprising: a housing having an inlet into which the water containing gas can flow; a water adsorbent located in the housing, the water adsorbent comprising at least one water adsorbent metal organic framework composite capable of adsorbing a water content from the water containing gas; and a water desorption arrangement in contact with and/or surrounding the water adsorbent, the water desorption arrangement being selectively operable between (i) a deactivated state, and (ii) an activated state in which the arrangement is configured to apply heat, a reduced pressure or a combination thereof to the water adsorbent to desorb a water content from the water adsorbent.
EXHAUST GAS TREATMENT SYSTEM
An exhaust system for the treatment of a humid exhaust gas comprising a species to be treated, the system comprising: a dehumidifier system comprising a humid air inlet for providing a flow of humid exhaust gas; a first gas inlet for providing a flow of dehumidified exhaust gas; a second gas inlet for providing a flow of heated gas; a plurality of sorbent beds for releasably storing the species; a treatment unit comprising either: one or more catalysts for decomposing the species; or a condensing unit for recovering the species in liquid or aqueous form; first and second exhaust gas outlets; and a valve system configured to establish independently for each sorbent bed fluid communication in a first or second configuration, wherein: i) in the first configuration the flow of the dehumidified exhaust gas from the first gas inlet contacts a sorbent bed for storing the species and then passes to the first gas outlet; and ii) in the second configuration the flow of heated gas from the second gas inlet contacts a sorbent bed for releasing the species, passes to the treatment unit and then passes to the second exhaust gas outlet; wherein the valve system is configured to ensure that at least one sorbent bed is in the first configuration and, preferably at least one other sorbent bed is in the second configuration; wherein the flow of dehumidified exhaust gas provided by the first gas inlet is received from the dehumidifier system.
Gas concentrator with removable cartridge adsorbent beds
A portable oxygen concentrator designed for medical use where the adsorbent beds, are designed to be replaced by a patient. The concentrator is designed so that the power supply and adsorbent bed mount is one module and the compressor and air filter are part of another module configured to provide a unitary cooling and air supply system. Replacement beds may be installed easily by patients, and all gas seals will function properly after installation.
