AIR TREATMENT DEVICE
There is provided an air-treatment device including an airflow generator for generating an airflow, an adsorbent material for adsorbing one or more airborne contaminants, the adsorbent material being arranged such that at least a portion of the airflow passes through the adsorbent material, a heater arranged to heat a portion of the adsorbent material to desorb adsorbed contaminants, and a photocatalytic reactor arranged to receive air containing the contaminants desorbed from the heated portion of adsorbent material. The photocatalytic reactor includes a photo-catalyst for photocatalytic degradation of one or more of the contaminants, and one or more light sources for illuminating the photo-catalyst to facilitate photocatalytic degradation. The air-treatment device is arranged such that at least a portion of the airflow that has not passed through the heated portion of the adsorbent material contacts the one or more light sources.
ACTIVATED CARBON FIBRE FILTER
A regenerable gas filter includes a housing having in-line an entrance and an exit, a pleated activated carbon fibre sheet or tube, with electrical conductors in the tip of each pleat and further electrical conductors being optionally attached to the ends of said sheet. The conductors are disposed substantially perpendicularly to the gas flow through the housing and the conductors on one side of the pleated sheet are connected to a single central conductor, which in turn was coupled to an electrical DC power source, which is repeated for the conductors on the other side of the pleated sheet. The sheet is stretched over and in electrical contact with the conductors and the pleated sheet or tube is provided with a sealing means to the housing. The regenerable gas filter is used for the purification of air in a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system.
SYSTEM FOR THE CAPTURE AND PURIFICATION OF CO2 AND PURIFICATION UNIT OF SAID SYSTEM
The present invention provides a system for the capture and purification CO.sub.2 and a purification unit for said system, wherein said purification unit comprises: a first filter having a first container and a first filler material; a second filter having a second container and a second filler material, downstream of said first filter; a third filter having a third container and a third filler material, downstream of said second filter, said third filter having, additionally, a heating element thermally coupled to said third filler material; and control means of said heating element; wherein said first filler material is silica; wherein said second filler material is zeolite; and wherein said third filler material is a metal-organic framework modified with activated carbon.
Method for separating a gas mixture flow using temperature-change adsorption, and temperature-change adsorption plant
A method for separating a gas mixture flow, n which uses a temperature-change adsorption plant having a number of adsorption units which are operated in a first and a second operating mode. The first operating mode comprises guiding a gas mixture flow at least in part through an adsorption chamber of an adsorption unit and subjecting this flow to an adsorptive exchange with at least one adsorbent. The second operating mode comprises guiding a first heat transfer fluid flow at a first temperature through a heat-exchange arrangement of an adsorption unit. The first operating mode also comprises guiding a second heat transfer fluid flow at a second temperature through the heat-exchange arrangement of the respective adsorption unit. The adsorption units are operated in a third operating mode which comprises guiding a third heat transfer fluid flow at a third temperature through the heat-exchange arrangement of the respective adsorption unit.
INTEGRATED DEVICE FOR ADSORPTIVE PURIFICATION AND CATALYTIC REGENERATION OF VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS
The integrated device for adsorptive purification and catalytic regeneration of VOCs is provided and includes a filtration adsorption coupling filter, a catalytic combustion regeneration box and a housing, where the housing includes a filter inner cavity and a combustion inner cavity that are communicated in sequence. The VOC exhaust gas is adsorbed and filtered by the filtration adsorption coupling filter. Moreover, under an operating condition of desorption regeneration, the catalytic combustion regeneration box is utilized to perform thermal desorption and regeneration on the filtration adsorption coupling filter, and catalytically combust and purify the VOC exhaust gas obtained by thermal desorption.
WATER SORBING MATERIALS AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Embodiments include a water collection device (100) comprising one or more water sorbing materials including at least a first thermo-responsive polymer that sorbs water at temperatures above an upper critical solution temperature and desorbs water below the upper critical solution temperature. Embodiments further include a method of harvesting water comprising exposing one or more water sorbing materials to an environment, wherein the one or more water sorbing materials includes at least a first thermoresponsive polymer that sorbs water at temperatures above an upper critical solution temperature and desorbs water at temperatures below the upper critical solution temperature; and collecting water desorbed from the at least first thermo-responsive polymer.

Device and method for drying compressed gas and a compressor installation provided with such device
A device for drying compressed gas, having an inlet for compressed gas to be dried and an outlet for dried compressed gas. The device includes at least two vessels, a regenerable drying agent and a controllable valve system. By controlling the valve system, the vessels are each in turn successively regenerated. The device is provided with a regeneration conduit splitting off a portion of the dried compressed gas as a regeneration gas and feeding it into the at least one vessel that is being regenerated. The regeneration conduit at least partly extends through an opening in the vessels such that the regeneration gas can be split off from the vessel that dries the compressed gas. A heater is provided in the regeneration conduit for heating the regeneration gas before the regeneration gas is fed through the drying agent into the vessel that is being regenerated.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PASSIVE COLLECTION OF ATMOSPHERIC CARBON DIOXIDE WITH ENHANCED AIR FLOW
A carbon dioxide collection system having a release enclosure, a capture structure, and a chimney is disclosed. The release enclosure includes a sorbent regeneration system. The capture structure includes a sorbent material, and is movable between collection and release configurations. The chimney is shaped such that an airflow upward through the chimney is created. The chimney is positioned above the release enclosure such that the airflow passes through the capture structure while in the collection configuration. The collection configuration includes the capture structure being elevated above the release enclosure so the sorbent material is exposed to the airflow generated by the chimney, allowing the sorbent material to capture CO.sub.2 from the airflow. The release configuration includes the capture structure being sufficiently enclosed inside the release enclosure that the sorbent regeneration system may operate on the sorbent material to release CO.sub.2 collected by the capture structure to form an enriched fluid.
Water harvesting device
A water harvesting device includes at least a first adsorption column including a first inlet, a first outlet, and a first interior region. A sorbent material is located within the first interior region of the first adsorption column. The sorbent material includes a metal organic framework (MOF) material including a plurality of metal ions or clusters of metal ions coordinated to one or more organic linkers, a plurality of nanofabrics comprising a hydrogel material, or a combination thereof.
