Apparatus and System for Swing Adsorption Processes Related Thereto
Provided are apparatus and systems for performing a swing adsorption process. This swing adsorption process may involve passing streams through adsorbent bed units to remove contaminants, such as water, from the stream. As part of the process, the adsorbent bed unit may provide access to the adsorbent material within the adsorbent bed unit without having to remove one or more of valves, conduits and manifolds.
HVAC SCRUBBER UNIT WITH BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INTEGRATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for integrating a building management system communicatively coupled to a security subsystem via a communication network, in which the building management system determines occupancy data, with a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning subsystem that includes a scrubber unit communicatively coupled to the building management system via the communication network. The scrubber unit includes a contaminant filter that sorbs air contaminants from a surrounding environment when an elevated pressure differential is introduced across the contaminant filter; an inlet sensor that determines sensor data indicative of contaminant level present in return air received by the scrubber unit from an internal portion of the building; and scrubber control circuitry that selectively instructs the scrubber unit to operate in one of multiple regeneration modes based at least in part on the occupancy data and the sensor data to facilitate improving filtering efficiency provided by the contaminant filter during subsequent operation.
Ultra rapid cycle portable oxygen concentrator
Lightweight, portable oxygen concentrators that operate using an ultra rapid, sub one second, adsorption cycle based on advanced molecular sieve materials are disclosed. The amount of sieve material utilized is a fraction of that used in conventional portable devices. This dramatically reduces the volume, weight, and cost of the device. Innovations in valve configuration, moisture control, case and battery design, and replaceable sieve module are described. Patients with breathing disorders and others requiring medical oxygen are provided with a long lasting, low cost alternative to existing portable oxygen supply devices.
Apparatus and system for swing adsorption processes
Provided are apparatus and systems for performing a swing adsorption process. This swing adsorption process may involve performing dampening for fluctuations in the streams conducted away from the adsorbent bed unit. The process may be utilized for swing adsorption processes, such as rapid cycle TSA and/or rapid cycle PSA, which are utilized to remove one or more contaminants from a gaseous feed stream.
R2R microelectromechanical gas concentrator
Disclosed are techniques such as roll to roll processing to produce membrane valves in microelectromechanical systems that are integrated with micro-pumps that include a pump body having compartmentalized pump chambers. One application of this technology is as a valve assembly for a gas concentrator that includes a first micro pump for feeding an input gas stream, a second micro pump to supplying a vacuum and at least one sieve bed having a zeolite. The gas concentrator uses the valve assembly for controlling entry of gas from the first micro pump into the sieve bed and the second micro pump to vent.
MECHANICAL VENTILATOR WITH OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR
A ventilator, including an enclosure; a tubing configured to receive an input gas; a flow outlet airline in fluid communication with the tubing, wherein the flow outlet airline includes an airline outlet, and the flow outlet airline is configured to supply an output gas to a user via the airline outlet; a breath detection airline including an airline inlet, wherein the airline inlet is separated from the airline outlet of the flow outlet airline, and the breath detection airline is configured to receive breathing gas from the user during exhalation by the user via the airline inlet; a pressure sensor in direct fluid communication with the breath detection airline, wherein the pressure sensor is configured to measure breathing pressure from the user, and the pressure sensor is configured to generate sensor data indicative of breathing by the user.
Swing adsorption processes using zeolite structures
The present disclosure describes the use of a specific adsorbent material in a rapid cycle swing adsorption to perform dehydration of a gaseous feed stream. The adsorbent material includes a zeolite 3A that is utilized in the dehydration process to enhance recovery of hydrocarbons.
Flow modulation systems, apparatus, and methods for cyclical swing adsorption
Methods, systems, and apparatus are provided for modulating fluid flow in a cyclical swing adsorption system that includes multiple adsorption bed vessels that are in fluid communication. When opening a valve to transition an adsorption bed vessel into a blowdown stage or a re-pressurization stage of a cyclical swing adsorption process, the valve is partially lifted from a closed position prior to being fully lifted. The valve includes a flow restriction aid positioned to restrict flow through the valve when the valve is in the partially lifted position.
Mechanical ventilator with oxygen concentrator
A ventilator includes an enclosure, a tubing configured to receive an input gas, and a flow outlet airline in fluid communication with the tubing. The flow outlet airline includes an airline outlet. The ventilator further includes a breath detection airline including an airline inlet. The airline inlet is separated from the airline outlet of the flow outline airline. The ventilator further includes a pressure sensor in direct fluid communication with the breath detection airline. The ventilator includes a controller in electronic communication with the pressure sensor and an internal oxygen concentrator in fluid communication with the tubing. The internal oxygen concentrator is entirely disposed inside the enclosure.
PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING FUEL
A process and/or system for producing fuel using renewable hydrogen having a reduced carbon intensity. The renewable hydrogen is produced in a hydrogen production process comprising methane reforming, wherein at least a portion of the feedstock for the hydrogen production process comprises upgraded biogas sourced from a plurality of biogas plants. Each of the upgraded biogases is produced in a process that includes collecting biogas comprising methane and carbon dioxide, capturing at least 50% of the carbon dioxide originally present in the collected biogas and producing the upgraded biogas. Storage of the captured carbon dioxide reducing a carbon intensity of the fuel, without having to provide carbon capture and storage of carbon dioxide from hydrogen production.
