LIQUID FILTER ARRANGEMENT AND METHODS
A filter cartridge includes a threaded sleeve having a seal holder recess and seal member. The filter cartridge is for removably threading onto a filter head that includes threads for connection to the filter cartridge by way of the threaded sleeve. The filter head includes a ramp that engages the seal member to form a seal. The force needed to make the seal is a torque of less than 10 N-m.
FLUID PROCESSING CASSETTE WITH INTEGRATED FILTER
Biological fluid processing cassettes with integrated filter structures are disclosed. A cassette body is formed of a generally rigid material, defining a plurality of internal fluid flow paths. The cassette body may be secured to a cassette cap to define a cavity, with a filter sealed within the cavity. Each of the cassette body and the cassette cap defines a port opening into the cavity, which allows fluid to flow from one of the internal fluid flow paths, into the cavity and through the filter, and then out of the cavity via the port of the cassette cap. Alternatively, the cassette body may define an external slot which receives at least a portion of a filter. Such a filter includes two ports, with one of the ports in fluid communication with a cassette port of the cassette body to allow fluid flow between the cassette body and the filter.
SELF CLEANING FILTER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A filter apparatus includes a filter, such as a cartridge, positioned within a housing. The filter apparatus has multiple ports and valves, so as to allow a user to easily switch between a filtration mode of filtering fluids and a maintenance mode of cleaning the filter. The filter can have a filter substrate in a housing and after filtrate builds up on the substrate, the substrate can be cleaned by directing a spray of fluid, such as from a ring of nozzles at the top of the housing, onto the substrate. A maintenance port can be provided to drain the debris washed from the substrate. The filter can switch between a backwash mode and a filtration mode.
FILTER CARTRIDGE ASSEMBLY
A filter assembly for filtering liquid includes a filter housing and a filter cartridge disposed in an enclosed space of the filter housing. The filter housing including a cap affixed to the bowl to form the enclosed space. The cap including a fluid inlet port, a fluid outlet port, and a gas venting port for the enclosed space. The filter cartridge includes radial projections disposed in slots of the bowl blocking rotation of the filter cartridge relative to the bowl. A method of making a filter assembly includes inserting a filter cartridge into a bowl, and affixing the cap to the bowl.
Filter assembly
A filter unit includes a body portion that receives a water filter. An engaging portion is coupled to the body portion. A bypass actuator rotates relative to the engaging portion to rotationally and axially operate a bypass valve of a fluid manifold. The bypass actuator drives axial engagement of the engaging portion with a valve assembly of the fluid manifold. The bypass actuator extends through the body portion and the engaging portion.
A WATER TREATMENT CARTRIDGE FOR A WATER TREATMENT DEVICE, A HEAD OF A WATER TREATMENT DEVICE AND A WATER TREATMENT DEVICE COMPRISING SUCH A CARTRIDGE AND SUCH A HEAD
A water-treatment device (100) comprising a head (2) and a water-treatment cartridge (1) configured for being arranged in the head (20) of the water-treatment device (100), which the device (100) is configured for treating water in the water-treatment cartridge (1). The water-treatment device (100) is characterized in that the device (100) comprises a first element (9A, 9B) of the orienting-ejecting means, arranged on the water-treatment cartridge (1), and a second element (26A, 26B) of the orienting-ejecting means, arranged on the head (20) of the water-treatment device (100), wherein, when the first element (9A, 9B) and the second element (26A, 26B) of the orienting-ejecting means are engaged, the position of the water-treatment cartridge (1) in the head (20) of the water-treatment device (100) is stabilized, when the cartridge (1) is mounted in the head (20) of the device (100), and there is provided ejection of the water-treatment cartridge (1) from the head (20) of the water-treatment device (100) during removal of the cartridge (1) from the device (100) by rotating said cartridge (1) around its longitudinal axis relative to the head (20) of the water-treatment device (100).
Filtration device
A first plate of a filter element includes a first tubular portion having a substantially cylindrical shape that protrudes toward a lid member with the filter element inserted into a filter case. The first tubular portion includes first projections protruding outward in a radial direction. The lid member includes a second tubular portion inserted into a hollow portion of the first tubular portion. With the lid member attached to the first plate, the first projections are inserted into notches formed in ribs provided along an outer circumferential surface of the first tubular portion.
Filter interconnect utilizing correlated magnetic actuation for downstream system function
A filtration system interconnection structure having a filter manifold including a sump housing and a first correlated magnet located on or connected to a portion of the manifold, and a filter cartridge including a filter media, first and second end caps sealed to the filter media, and a second, paired correlated magnet located on or connected to the filter cartridge housing body. The first and second correlated magnets are interconnected via magnetic communication upon insertion of the filter cartridge into the sump housing, and upon movement of the filter cartridge into an alignment position, the correlated magnet located on or connected to the manifold is permitted to translate as a result of the magnetic communication. The polarity profiles of the paired correlated magnets are aligned such that a repulsion force is created when the filter cartridge is inserted within the manifold sump housing.
Water purifying apparatus and refrigerator including the same
Provided are a water purifying apparatus and a refrigerator including the same. The water purifying apparatus includes a filter configured to purify incoming water and discharge the purified water, a head in which the filter is detachably coupled and a water inlet portion and a water outlet portion are formed, and a shaft provided inside the head and rotatably mounted between the water inlet portion and the water outlet portion, the shaft being provided with a bypass flow path directly connecting the water inlet portion and the water outlet portion and a filtering flow path connected so that water flowing in through the water inlet portion is discharged to the water outlet portion via the filter.
