Speargun
A sportfishing speargun is sized for ease of use and provides the power of the largest rubber band speargun. The speargun includes a drive system with a first side drive component and a second side drive component, the drive system is driven by one or more power bands to provide mechanical advantage and the force of a large speargun in a compact device.
Gig with multiple spear head assemblies attached to a stringer
A gig comprises a shaft; a spear head assembly comprising: a spear shaft; one or more spear prongs located at a first end of the spear shaft; and a ring, wherein the ring is secured to the spear shaft; and a stringer, wherein the stringer is removably or slidably connected to the ring. There can be more than one spear head assembly that can be used to spear more than one fish. Each of the spear head assemblies can be connected to the stringer via the rings whereby the fish can remain in the water until such time as it is desired to remove the fish. At that point, a person can simply draw the stringer towards them in order to retrieve the fish.

SPEARGUN HANDLE
The invention relates to a speargun handle (1) having a reinforced trigger guard (5) which creates a chamber (6) in which there is a trigger lever (7). The handle (1) has a retaining member (10) with chambers (12) surrounded by a non-slip retaining cover (11). It also has a loading aid (17), a front end (23) for fitting a tube (2), incorporated deflectors (25) for lines and a line holder (32). The handle (1) further comprises a reverse trigger mechanism, wherein the trigger lever (7) is located outside the cartridge (26). The retaining hook (27) may alternatively have a notch for a pivot pin (38) which receives the developing stresses derived from the shaft's (4) launching.
BOWFISHING ARROW SLIDE
In aspects of the invention, an arrow slide is provided with a body having a first opening with a plurality of first edges arranged in a generally triangular configuration within which a first diameter can be received, a second opening with a plurality of second edges arranged in the generally triangular configuration within which the first diameter can be received; sidewalls linking corresponding ones of the first plurality of edges to the plurality of second edges to create a passageway extending from the first opening to the second opening through which an arrow can slide; and a string mount to which a bowfishing line can be joined.

SHARK REPELLENT
Some embodiments may be of spearfishing apparatus fitted with at least one magnet configured to repel sharks away from the spearfishing apparatus. The spearfishing apparatus may be one or more of: a spearfishing shaft, a spearfishing tip, and/or a spearfishing gun. Some embodiments may be of personal floatation devices (PFDs) fitted with at least one magnet configured to repel sharks away from the PFDs. Some PFDs may be fitted with a tethered drop-down magnetic apparatus to protect lower extremities of a wearer of such PFDs. Such magnets may be electromagnets powered by batteries in some embodiments.

TELESCOPING POLE SPEAR
A collapsible and extendable rod comprising a plurality of rod sections. Each section coupled together at any an intersection of two said rod sections with an intersection assembly. Any two adjacent rod sections may be configured such that at least one of the two rod section of the two adjacent rod sections may nest internal to the other adjacent rod sections thereby forming a collapsed configuration. The collapsed configuration may include any number of rod sections provided there is at least a first largest rod section and at least a last smallest rod section. The last smallest rod section may be the most internal rod of the nested configuration and the first largest rod section may be the most external of the nested configuration. The collapsed configuration may be fully reversible to an extended configuration.
