GRAPHENE OXIDE MEMBRANES FOR FILTERING ORGANIC SOLUTIONS
This invention relates to membranes that can be used to remove solutes from organic solutions. The invention also relates to methods of using said membranes and the use of said membranes to filter organic solutions. The membranes are thin graphene oxide (GO) laminate membranes.
METHODS OF MAKING HIGH SELECTIVITY FACILITATED TRANSPORT MEMBRANES, HIGH SELECTIVITY FACILITATED TRANSPORT MEMBRANE ELEMENTS AND MODULES
A process is provided of making facilitated transport membrane comprising a relatively hydrophilic, very small pore, nanoporous support membrane, a hydrophilic polymer inside the very small nanopores on the skin layer surface of the support membrane, a thin, nonporous, hydrophilic polymer layer coated on the surface of the support membrane, and metal salts incorporated in the hydrophilic polymer layer coated on the surface of the support membrane and the hydrophilic polymer inside the very small nanopores. In addition, the process provides a new method of making facilitated transport membrane spiral wound elements or hollow fiber modules for olefin/paraffin separations, particularly for C3=/C3 and C2=/C2 separations.
ULTRAFILTRATION MEMBRANE AND ITS PREPARATION METHOD
The present invention relates to a method for preparing an ultrafiltration membrane with high mechanical property. In the present invention, since the cellulose, which has high mechanical property, is added into the casting membrane solution, the retention rate of the ultrafiltration membrane of the present invention is improved.
SELECTIVELY PERMEABLE GRAPHENE OXIDE MEMBRANE
Described herein is a crosslinked graphene and biopolymer (e.g. lignin) based composite membrane that provides selective resistance for solutes while providing water permeability. The membrane may include optional additional functional additives in a crosslinked material matrix that provides enhanced salt separation from water. Methods for making such membranes, and methods of using the membranes for dehydrating or removing solutes from water are also described.
PROCESS FOR SEPARATION OF PROPYLENE FROM A LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS STREAM
Process for separating a highly pure propylene product from a liquefied petroleum gas stream is disclosed, which eliminates a C3 splitter having over 120 trays and the additional equipment that a C3 splitter requires. The process includes passing a feed stream to a dividing wall column to produce an overhead stream, a first side draw stream, a second side draw stream, and a product stream. The first side draw stream is passed to a treatment unit to produce a treated stream. The treated stream is passed to a membrane unit and a permeate stream is passed from the membrane unit to produce a polymer grade propylene stream.
SELECTIVELY PERMEABLE GRAPHENE OXIDE MEMBRANE
Described herein is a graphene and polyvinyl alcohol based multilayer composite membrane that provides selective resistance for solutes to pass through the membrane while providing water permeability. A selectively permeable membrane comprising a crosslinked graphene with a polyvinyl alcohol and an additive that can provide enhanced salt separation from water, methods for making such membranes, and methods of using the membranes for dehydrating or removing solutes from water are also described.
High Temperature-Resistant Composite Nanofiltration Membrane And Preparation Method Thereof
Provided are a high temperature-resistant composite nanofiltration membrane and a preparation method thereof. The high temperature-resistant composite nanofiltration membrane includes a base membrane and a polyamide membrane arranged on the base membrane; wherein the polyamide membrane is prepared from raw materials comprising: an amine, an inorganic salt, a silane additive, a polyacyl chloride, and an oil phase solvent; and the silane additive is at least one selected from the group consisting of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, divinyltriaminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N-cyclohexyl-?-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, and trimethoxy[3-(phenylamino)propyl]silane.
