A safety unit for a home carbonation machine that includes a valve to release gas from a sealed state at a first pressure and a backup element set to rupture at a second higher pressure when the valve malfunctions. The valve also includes a backup element housing which moves to vent the gas via an outlet during carbonation and which has a conduit to direct the gas to the backup element.

Carbonation machine with rotatable carbonation head

A carbonation machine includes a rotatable carbonation head including at least one pressure release valve, a carbonation tube connectable via piping to a gas canister and a flange for engaging a neck of a bottle filled with liquid to be carbonated by screwing the neck into or onto the flange to firmly hold the bottle with the carbonation tube maintained inside the bottle, and for disengaging the neck of the bottle from the flange by unscrewing the neck off the flange. The rotatable carbonation head is configured, when screwing the neck into or onto the flange, to be rotated from a release position to a lock position, and is configured, when unscrewing the neck off the flange, to be rotated from the lock position to the release position. In the release position said at least one pressure release valve is operated to open so as to release excess pressure if such excess pressure exists in the bottle, and in the lock position said at least one pressure valve remains closed.

An apparatus for producing carbonated water includes a gas cylinder configured to store carbon dioxide gas, a cold water storage unit configured to store cold water, a producing tank defining a closed space where the carbonated water is produced, a water supply passage configured to connect the cold water storage unit to the producing tank, the water supply passage including a water supply valve that controls supply of the cold water, a gas supply passage connecting the gas cylinder to the producing tank, the gas supply passage including a gas valve that controls supply of the carbon dioxide, a first relief valve provided along the gas supply passage, the first relief valve configured to control the discharge of the carbon dioxide gas, a dispensing passage connecting the producing tank to a dispensing member, and the dispensing member configured to dispense the carbonated water from a front surface of a refrigerator.

BEVERAGE CARBONATING DEVICE AND BEVERAGE VESSEL

A beverage carbonating device includes a carbon dioxide production unit and a pressure container. The carbon dioxide production unit produces carbon dioxide gas by mixing at least two reactants. The pressure container stores the produced carbon dioxide gas in a pressurized gaseous state. As a detachable module, the pressure container is sealingly detachable from the carbon dioxide production unit. Accordingly, the carbon dioxide gas is stored and sealed in the pressure container when detached from the carbon dioxide production unit. Further, a beverage vessel is used with the beverage carbonating device.
