A washing machine according to the present invention comprises: a cabinet which forms an outer shape; a tub which is disposed inside of the cabinet, and in which washing water is stored; a pump which circulates the washing water stored in the tub; a circulating nozzle which sprays, into the inside of the tub, the washing water supplied from the pump; a circulating hose which connects the pump to the tub, and guides the circulated washing water to the circulating nozzle; and an atomizing unit which is disposed on the circulating hose, and atomizes the circulated washing water by mixing air. The washing machine according to the present invention supplies, into the inside of the tub through an air mixer, washing water in which air is included, and thus has an advantage of reducing the total flow rate of the used washing water.

Method of producing emulsions

Devices, systems, and their methods of use, for generating droplets are provided. One or more geometric parameters of a microfluidic channel can be selected to generate droplets of a desired and predictable droplet size.

PROCESS FOR OXIDISING A SUBSTRATE

A process for oxidising a substrate selected from hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), diformylfuran (DFF), hydroxymethylfurancarboxylic acid (HMFCA) and formylfurancarboxylic acid (FFCA). Said process comprises mixing said substrate with catalase, one or more further enzymes and hydrogen peroxide to form a reaction mixture. Said one or more further enzymes have the ability to catalyse oxidation of said substrate. Said hydrogen peroxide is provided at a total molar ratio of at least about 0.1:1 hydrogen peroxide to substrate.

In one example, a system and method for forming microspheres comprises: pumping a dispersed phase liquid and a continuous phase liquid into a levitating magnetic impeller pump to subject the dispersed phase liquid and continuous phase liquid to a high shear environment within the impeller pump's pump chamber. In another example, a system and method for forming an emulsion comprises: pumping a dispersed phase liquid and an inner aqueous phase liquid into a levitating magnetic impeller pump to subject the dispersed phase and the inner aqueous phase to a high shear environment within the impeller pump's pump chamber.

MIXER

A mixer for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine includes a first mixer part (12) with a plate shape body (14) having an incoming upstream flow side (18), with respect to an exhaust gas main flow direction (A) and a downstream outflow side (22), and a second mixer part (24), on an outflow side, with a bottom wall (26) spaced apart from the plate shape body and with two side walls (28, 30), extending from the bottom wall (26) towards the plate shape body and fixed at the first mixer part. The mixer parts define a reactant injection duct (32) receiving reactant in a main injection direction (R). An exhaust gas main passage opening (54) the plate shape body opens towards the reactant injection duct with a plurality of exhaust gas secondary passage openings (78, 80, 82, 84, 86, 88, 90, 92) run past the injection duct.

Diffusing member, exhaust gas purification device, and use of diffusing member in exhaust gas purification device

The diffusing member of the present invention is disposed in an exhaust pipe to partially block exhaust gas flowing in from upstream of the exhaust pipe, the diffusing member including a ceramic member and a metal member, wherein the ceramic member surrounds the metal member in such a manner that the metal member is partially exposed, and the volume of the ceramic member constituting the diffusing member is larger than the volume of the metal member constituting the diffusing member.

EXHAUST TREATMENT SYSTEM FOR WORK VEHICLES AND RELATED FLOW MIXERS

An exhaust treatment system for a work vehicle includes a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system configured to react a mixture of reductant/exhaust with a catalyst to generate a treated exhaust flow. The system also includes a flow conduit in fluid communication with an outlet of the SCR system for receiving the treated exhaust flow and an exhaust sensor positioned within the flow conduit downstream of the SCR outlet. The exhaust sensor is configured to detect an amount of an emission gas present in the treated exhaust flow. Additionally, the system includes a flow mixer positioned upstream of the exhaust sensor. The flow mixer includes first and second sets of swirler vanes configured to impart a spiraling flow trajectory to the treated exhaust flow flowing between the SCR outlet and the exhaust sensor, with the first set of swirler vanes being spaced radially from the second set of swirler vanes.
