A device for generating milk froth, including a pump for conveying milk from a reservoir, an air intake, and at least one back-pressure element, with the back-pressure element being arranged upstream in reference to the pump and the air intake upstream in reference to the back-pressure element. The back-pressure element is embodied as a mixing element, which has in the direction of flow a cross-sectional area that the flow passes through that is not reducing, with the cross-sectional area that the flow passes through at the input side being at least equivalent to the cross-section of the connecting pipeline arranged between the pump and the mixing element. A method for generating milk froth as well as the use of a helical mixer for the generation of milk froth are also provided.

Provided is a production process for a nitrogen foamed concrete self-insulating block, comprising the following steps: pre-preparing a foaming liquid filled with nitrogen, pre-preparing a concrete slurry, preparing a foamed concrete slurry, casting moulding, carrying out thermal insulating and demoulding. At the same time, further provided is a foaming device used for the production process for a nitrogen foamed concrete self-insulating block, comprising a foaming agent storage tank, a vacuum foaming tank, a compressed nitrogen pipe, a first transfer pump and a second transfer pump. The block has the advantages of a low heat conductivity coefficient and durability.

The volume ratio of the high shear mixing zone to the low shear mixing zone can be in the range of 1:2 to 1:10. A method and system for diluting and activating polymeric materials are also disclosed.

The extruder barrel (104) is equipped with an assembly (22) for delivery of fluid to the interior thereof, including a static mixing section (54) operable to blend the steam and water to create a blended mixture; the blended mixture is delivered to the barrel opening (114a) by means of a conveying assembly (84, 86) having a pipe assembly (86) with an outlet in communication with the barrel opening (114a); the pipe assembly (86) and opening (114a) have diameters less than maximum internal diameter of the static mixer casing (72).

METHOD OF EXTRUDER OPERATION USING STATIC MIXER INJECTOR

A method for extruding a comestible material comprises the steps of passing comestible material into an extruder (100) with rotation of the extruder screw(s) (120, 122) and delivery of fluid comprising steam and water into an opening (114a) of the extruder barrel (104). The fluid delivery step comprises separately directing individual quantities of steam and water into the casing (72) of a static mixing section (54), and blending the steam and water to create a blended mixture, and then delivering the blended mixture into the barrel (114a). The blended mixture is delivered to the barrel opening (114a) by means of a conveying assembly (84, 86) having a pipe assembly (86) with an outlet in communication with the barrel opening (114a); the pipe assembly (86) and opening (114a) have diameters less than maximum internal diameter of the static mixer casing (72).
