The present disclosure provides for a first embodiment, where, a first, lower shaft speed mixing of the component combination takes place in a thermokinetic mixer, where monitoring of the batch by temperature rate increase determination results in a determination that a substantial portion of desired thermokinetic mixing has occurred, whereafter a different shaft speed is used to complete the desired thermokinetic mixing of the component combination.

IMPROVED PROCESS FOR TREATING AQUEOUS MINERAL SUSPENSIONS
The present invention relates to a method for flocculating and dewatering oil sands fine tailings. Said method comprises mixing the aqueous mineral suspension with a poly(ethylene oxide) (co)polymer to form a dough-like material. The material is then dynamically mixed in an in-line reactor to break down the dough-like material to form microflocs having an average size of 1 to 500 microns, and to release water. The internal diameter of the in-line reactor is at most five times the internal diameter of the inlet pipe of the reactor. The suspension of microflocs has a viscosity of at most 1000 cP and a yield stress of at most 300 Pa.

An embodiment of a device for automatically executing a process of generating an emulsion containing nucleic acids, amplifying the nucleic acids in the emulsion, breaking the emulsion, and separating and purifying said amplified nucleic acids, is described that comprises an emulsion generation unit for sealing beads to which nucleic acids are bound in a water-in-oil type emulsion; a nucleic acid amplification unit provided with a reaction vessel for amplifying said nucleic acids and a heating and cooling part for heating and cooling the reaction vessel; an emulsion breaking unit for breaking the emulsion after nucleic acid amplification; and a nucleic acid purification unit for recovering said amplified nucleic acids from said emulsion breaking unit.

In this case, the stirrer (1) includes a thermoregulation circuit (6), which extends within the support shaft (2) and within the main operating blade (4) and is connected with an external source for supplying a heat transfer fluid crossing the thermoregulation circuit (6) in such a way as to exchange heat with the liquid binding unfinished product within the mixing tank (V), in order to bring the it to a predefined temperature, while the support shaft (2) and the main operating blade (4) integral with it rotate around the longitudinal axis (Y).
