Process vessel for forming fuel compositions and related systems and methods
This disclosure relates to a processing that includes a first shell and a second shell disposed within the first shell. The second shell includes a first end, a second end, and a wall extending between the first end and the second end. The second shell also defines a cavity and a longitudinal axis extending between the first end and the second end. A cross section of the second shell transverse to the longitudinal axis includes a first arcuate inner wall portion having a first radius of curvature and a second arcuate inner wall portion having a second radius of curvature. The first radius of curvature is larger than the second radius of curvature.
Systems and methods for a collapsible chamber with foldable mixing element
The present set of embodiments relate to a system, method, and apparatus for culturing cells within a cell culture vessel having a mixing element. The cell culture system includes a flexible portion and a mixing element disposed therein. The mixing element includes a suspended foldable portion. The system is configured to reduce shear stress on cells without compromising mixing efficiency. This reduction is accomplished by using a mixing element having a large surface area allowing for reduced rotational speeds. The system is collapsible for ease of transport and disposal. The flexible portion collapses and the foldable portion folds to minimize the volume of the system while not in operation.
METHOD FOR ADAPTING AN EXISTING CONCRETE PRODUCTS FORMING MACHINE FOR FORMING INFUSED CONCRETE PRODUCTS
A method of retrofitting an existing apparatus for forming concrete products, where the apparatus comprises an existing component located upstream of a product mold and adapted to deliver treated concrete to the product mold, adapts the existing component to treat fresh concrete to be delivered to the product mold by a new component with treated water infused with a concentration of carbon dioxide nanobubbles. The step of adapting comprises adding to the existing component a water delivery system that is configured to direct the treated water into the fresh concrete, where the water delivery system is provided with one or more liquid manifolds configured to dispense the treated water into the fresh concrete to form treated concrete.
METHOD AND CRYSTALLIZING TANK AND ARRANGEMENT THEREOF FOR CRYSTALLIZING CALCIUM NITRATE FROM THE NITRO-PHOSPHATE PROCESS
A method for crystallizing calcium nitrate from an aqueous calcium nitrate composition including from 6 to 12 weight % nitric acid, from 11 to 17 weight % phosphoric acid, and from 36 to 49 weight % dissolved calcium nitrate, which aqueous composition is optionally directly obtainable from digesting phosphate rock in nitric acid. The method includes filling at least one vertical crystallizing tank through an inlet with the aqueous calcium nitrate composition. The crystallizing tank includes a vertical cylindrical section, a first inlet, a first outlet, a second inlet, three concentric banks of cooling coils, an agitator, and a temperature measurement device. The method includes circulating through the banks of cooling coils a cooling fluid, having an initial temperature ranging from −40° C. to −5° C., and rotating the agitator such that a minimum average heat transfer of 400 W/m.sup.2.Math.K is achieved on the cooling coil the most distant from the agitator.
Fluid agitating device equipped with such an agitating device
The invention relates to an agitating device (1) comprising a stirring shaft (2) that is vertically positionable in a use configuration, a stirring element comprising a circular ring portion (7) partially surrounding the agitating shaft (2), this ring portion, in the use configuration of the shaft (2), being disposed in a plane that is inclined with respect to the shaft (2) and develops around the shaft (2) from the lower end (8) thereof in the direction of the upper end (9) thereof, following an ascending slope, this ring portion (7) being hollow and provided with openings (11) for communicating with the outside and means (4) for connecting the stirring element and the shaft (2). These connecting means (4) comprise at least one arm (12) that is radial to the agitating shaft (2) and connects the lower end (5) of the agitating shaft (2) and the lower end (8) of the stirring element, and extends at least partially in a plane perpendicular to the agitating shaft (2).
Agitator device
An agitator device, in particular a non-close-clearance agitator device, in particular with respect to a vessel wall, in particular for mixing low-viscosity to medium-viscosity media, having at least one agitation shaft and having at least one outer agitation blade which is held on the agitation shaft and which in at least one section is implemented so as to be arm-shaped. The agitator device has an inner agitation blade which conjointly with the outer agitation blade implements at least one van-type conveying unit which is at least configured for conveying a medium in at least one direction parallel with the agitation shaft and in particular in at least one further direction perpendicular to the agitation shaft.
AGITATOR ROTORS AND AGITATOR SYSTEMS FOR SOLIDS
An agitator rotor includes a shaft, rails, and a rod. The shaft defines a longitudinal axis. The rails extend radially from and are coupled to the shaft. The rails are separated from each other along a length of the shaft. Each rail includes a surface defining a non-zero angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the shaft. The rod includes a first end coupled to a first one of the rails. The rod includes a second end coupled to a second one of the rails. A projection of the first end and the second end of the rod in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft defines a minor arc about a portion of the shaft.
