SCREW MACHINE AND METHOD FOR THE PROCESSING OF MATERIAL TO BE PROCESSED
A screw machine includes an inductive heating device for the processing of material to be processed. The inductive heating device is used to heat the material in a heating zone. In the heating zone, at least one housing portion is made of an electromagnetically transparent material at least partly, the material being non-magnetic and electrically non-conductive, whereas at least one treatment element shaft is made of an electrically conductive material at least partly. During the processing of the material, the inductive heating device generates an alternating magnetic field that produces eddy current losses in the at least one treatment element shaft, the eddy current losses leading to a temperature increase of the at least one treatment element shaft. The material is heated on the at least one heated treatment element shaft, in particular until it melts. The screw machine allows a simple and efficient melting of the material, with the result that a mechanical energy input and a resulting wear of the screw machine can be reduced significantly.

An apparatus for continuously producing chemically-modified cellulose, the apparatus having a first mechanism for transporting a fine-powder cellulose fiber starting material and a hydrophobizing chemical substance, a specific extruder, a solvent tank connected to the extruder, and a dryer connected to the solvent tank, and a method for continuously producing chemically-modified cellulose, the method having a step of washing, in the solvent tank, chemically-modified cellulose having been produced out of the fine-powder cellulose fiber starting material and the hydrophobizing chemical substance in the extruder, and then drying the chemically-modified cellulose in the dryer, in order to remove any unreacted hydrophobizing chemical substance.
3D PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USING THE SINGLE-PRINTHEAD ACHIEVED MULTI-MATERIAL AND MULTI-SCALE PRINTING
The present invention discloses a 3D printing apparatus and method of using a single-printhead to achieve multi-material and multi-scale printing. The apparatus comprises a base, a worktable, a wafer stage, a substrate, a power source, a printhead, and a support. The printhead is provided with a plurality of material inlets, each of which is connected to a different micro-feeding pump; and multiple materials are thoroughly mixed under the action of an agitator after being fed into the printhead, thereby achieving multi-material printing. In the present invention, a macroscopic geometrical shape of a printed object, microstructures in the interior and on the surface of the object are reasonably controlled, and integrated manufacturing of multi-scale structures is achieved.

High thermal transfer, hollow core extrusion screws (50, 52, 124, 126, 190) include elongated hollow core shafts (54, 128, 130, 192) equipped with helical fighting (56, 132, 134, 194) along the lengths thereof. The fighting (132, 134, 194) may also be of hollow construction which communicates with the hollow core shafts (54, 128, 130, 192). Structure (88, 90) is provided for delivery of heat exchange media (e.g., steam) into the hollow core shafts (54, 128, 130, 192) and the hollow fighting (132, 134, 194). The fighting (56, 132, 134, 194) also includes a forward, reverse pitch section (64, 162, 216). The extrusion screws (50, 52, 124, 126, 190) are designed to be used as complemental pairs as a part of twin screw processing devices (20), and are designed to impart high levels of thermal energy into materials being processed in the devices (20), without adding additional moisture.

The occurrence of separation or reaggregation is suppressed in a suspension such as a battery electrode slurry. A battery electrode slurry distributing apparatus includes: a circulation pipe via which a positive electrode slurry is to be circulated; and a control unit that controls the supply of the positive electrode slurry to each of coaters. In a period in which either the coater is allowed to receive the supply of the positive electrode slurry, the control unit inhibits the supply of the positive electrode slurry to the other coater. The circulation pipe is structured in a polygonal loop. The coaters are connected to respective elbow portions formed in the circulation pipe via the pipes, respectively.
Vacuum pug mill
A pug mill having a housing and a cantilevered shaft extending through the housing includes, in seriatim, a vacuum chamber, a wall, a mixing chamber and a reduction cone. A communication port about the shaft is positioned in the wall between the vacuum chamber and the mixing chamber. Vacuum can be maintained within the mixing chamber by air passing through the port. An auger associated with the shaft forces clay toward the reduction cone. This creates a seal for maintaining vacuum within the mixing chamber and extrudes cylindrical blocks of conditioned clay without significant air bubbles. A deflection plate rotating with the shaft and a spiral element about the shaft keep the communication port clear. The shaft is eccentrically mounted. The dividing wall is removable.
Drill attachment with drive assembly
Disclosed are drill assembly attachments having a handle, a drill mount, and a throttle. The throttle is positioned with respect to the drill mount and the handle such that a first portion may be actuated by a user with a hand that is grasping the handle. The drill assembly attachment receives a power drill assembly such that the throttle adjustably engages a trigger of the drill assembly. The drill assembly attachment receives a rotatable device, such as an auger or other tool. Also disclosed is a method of using a power drill assembly and the drill assembly attachment.
