An automated system for automatically mixing and verifying paint is described. The system may include a kiosk configured to automatically add a paint of a second color to a paint container holding a first color of paint so as to produce a requested third color of paint. The system may further verify that the mixed paint color is the requested paint color using a laser to perform verification.

Improving health and experience of a cosmetic product user, the robotic cosmetic mix bar of the present invention is disclosed. The robotic cosmetic mix bar allows the user to select safe ingredients tailored to their own unique hair and skincare goals. In one embodiment, the robotic cosmetic mix bar contains a robotic arm surrounded by a dispenser and multiple processing stations. Based on a user input indicating a type of cosmetic product and the ingredients to include in the cosmetic product, the robotic arm obtains the desired ingredients from the dispenser and, by transporting the ingredients from one processing station to another, the robotic arm facilitates the processing of the ingredients. The processing of ingredients can include boiling, cooling, mixing, whisking, blending, etc. Within approximately two minutes, the cosmetic product built according to the user specifications is delivered to the user.

An embodiment apparatus for producing a personal care product includes a cabinet, a command keyboard, a bottling dispensing station, a plurality of main containers for storing base liquids, and a plurality of secondary containers for storing additive substances. A main valve structure has a first flow mouth for connecting to the main containers by first tubing, and is connected to a first entrance of a dosing valve. A secondary valve structure has a second flow mouth for connecting to the secondary containers by second tubing, and is connected to a second entrance of the dosing valve. The dosing valve has an output for coupling to a bottle for transferring at least one base liquid and at least one additive substance to the bottle. The apparatus also includes a mixing station, a closing station and a sealing station for the bottle.

The invention relates to a system (10) for dispensing a product, comprising a dispenser that can house at least two cartridges, each of which includes a reservoir containing a base product, a first base product comprising at least 0.1 wt.-% particles having a density differential relative to the medium containing same, preferably of at least 0.5 g/cm3, in particular particles having a density greater than or equal to 2 g/cm3, and a thickening agent. The dispenser allows at least two base products to be dispensed in adjustable proportions, the viscosity of the first base product being preferably greater than 2 Pa.Math.s and more preferably greater than or equal to 4 Pa.Math.s.

A custom-tint paint production system that includes a color sensing device such as a low-resolution spectrophotometer to measure color of a preexisting surface color, a color data translation engine to convert the measured values to spectral curve values, and a tint formulation engine to determine a custom tint formulation based upon the spectral curve values, which is usable by a tinter to tint a base coating composition by adding one or more colorants in amounts based on color measurements from the color sensing device.

Expert system and method for computing an adjustment procedure for obtaining an adjusted exterior waterborne paint composition for an exterior surface to be painted at a paint application site on a specific date. A starting exterior waterborne paint composition comprises base chemical compounds. When one or more computed target values of target chemical compounds for the adjusted exterior waterborne paint composition are determined different from the plurality of base values, the adjustment procedure is computed for transforming the starting exterior waterborne paint composition into the adjusted exterior paint composition and instructions comprising the adjustment procedure are sent to a remote device.

A portioning machine for providing a custom cosmetic includes a mixer having a mixing chamber and also accommodates a plurality of syringes having outlets that are directly coupled to the mixing chamber. In one embodiment, the portioning machine includes a plurality of slots, where each slot is configured to receive an assembly having at least one syringe. In another embodiment, the portioning machine includes a slot configured to receive an assembly having a plurality of syringes. Each syringe is associated with an actuator, and the portioning machine includes a portioning processor configured to control the actuators to dispense additives from selected syringes into the mixing chamber in accordance with a target set of additive ratios to produce the custom cosmetic.

A preparation and dispensing system prepares and dispenses a personalized composition from N reserves (501-502) of active compounds (A1-A2), N being an integer greater than or equal to 1, which is accurate, quick, easy to implement, hygienic and economical. A method of creating color solution, comprises the steps of: receiving color shade solution values corresponding to respective color shade solutions and color shade quantity values corresponding to respective amounts of said respective color shade solutions; mapping each of said received color shade solution values to respective locations where said respective color shade solutions are stored; and releasing into a mixing container said respective color shade solutions in said respective amounts. An apparatus is capable of performing the above steps.
