The drilling fluid includes returned drilling fluid intended to be re-used, which has a variety of viscosity and other qualities resulting from its various preceding use. The target drilling fluid will have a variety of viscosity and other qualities depending upon and changing with various phases of drilling operations and various conditions encountered. The drilling fluid is analyzed in real time as it flows into the automated drilling-fluid additive system, and various additives are added to and thoroughly blended with the drilling fluid as needed to achieve the desired result. The blended drilling fluid is collimated to produce a laminar flow and is discharged from the automated drilling-fluid additive system in the proper condition for direct injection into a well without any storage in a holding tank and without any further processing, treatment, or handling.

System and method for liquid disinfection

The efficiency of water disinfection can be significantly increased by supplying the ozone in combination with oxygen to an inlet of a cavitation pump or a line atomizer. A compressor can be introduced at an inlet of the cavitation pump or the line atomizer, compressing the gas mixture at a pressure higher than the pressure within pump or the atomizer. The compressed gases are provided to the inlet of the atomizer or the pump, where the compressed gases mix with the water and enter the cavitation pump or the line atomizer (where most of the dissolution of the gases happens). The compressor allows to increase the amount of oxygen and ozone provided to the pump or the line atomizer, increasing their dissolved concentration. In addition to the disinfecting properties, the higher level of oxygen correlates to an improved taste of the water.

Method of mixing rubber composition and system for mixing rubber composition

A method of mixing a rubber composition includes a carbon introduction step and a uniform dispersion step. In the carbon introduction step, on the basis of a deviation between a rate of temperature increase of the rubber mixture (R) and a target value, at least one of a ram pressure (Pr) and a rotational speed (N) of the mixing rotor (2) is PID controlled so that the ultimate temperature of the rubber mixture (R) at the conclusion of the step is within a tolerance range. In the uniform dispersion step, the ram pressure (Pr) or the rotational speed (N) of the mixing rotor (2) is adjusted to reduce a deviation between a value based on successively detected data associated with a predetermined control target and a target value.

System for analysis and reuse of waste liquids

A system for measurement of quantity (density) of particles/solid materials in wastewater, and dilution of particle quantity based on the intended application. Currently enabling quick and serial measurement of particle quantity in laboratory environment, this system is placed inside the desired step of the process of an industrial facility. This way, the system yields quick results and in turn reduces the analysis and evaluation costs.

Proppant concentration accuracy in a fracturing fluid by compensating for proppant moisture

A method of determining a dry proppant concentration in a fracturing fluid includes combining a wet proppant with a carrier fluid in a mixer to form the fracturing fluid. The dry proppant concentration of the fracturing fluid leaving the mixer is determined using a moisture content of the wet proppant entering the mixer, wherein use of the moisture content prevents overestimation of the dry proppant concentration. The method can be preformed using a system for injecting fracturing fluid into a borehole, the fracturing fluid including a carrier fluid mixed with a wet proppant including a dry proppant dampened with a dampening liquid. The system includes a mixer operable to receive and mix the carrier fluid and the wet proppant to form the fracturing fluid, a frac pump operable to inject the fracturing fluid into the borehole, and a control system comprising a processor operable to receive a moisture content of the wet proppant before being mixed with the carrier fluid and programmed to determine a dry proppant concentration of the fracturing fluid formed in the mixer using a moisture content of the wet proppant, wherein use of the moisture content prevents overestimation of the dry proppant concentration.
