Proposed are an automated microreactor for effective optimization of a high-speed chemical reaction, and a method of optimizing a high-speed chemical reaction using the same. The automated microreactor includes a raw material supply unit including a plurality of flow rate controllers that supply a plurality of raw materials and control flow rates of the plurality of raw materials, an intermediate reaction unit including a plurality of micromixers for intermediate that generate a first mixture and a plurality of tubular reactors for intermediate that generate an intermediate product, an intermediate reaction control unit including a valve member, and a product reaction unit including a product micromixer that produces a second mixture and producing a product, through which optimal synthesis conditions (optimal temperature, flow rate, reaction volume and organolithium reagent type) can be achieved to obtain the highest yield in a short time.

Bubble size monitoring and control

Disclosed herein is a device and methods for enhancing oil separation from produced water. One such method includes mixing a multiphase fluid having at least a water phase and an oil phase with a flotation gas, according to at least one operating condition, so as to produce an enhanced multiphase fluid having bubbles of the flotation gas therein. The oil phase is then separated from the water phase using a separator. At least one property associated with the enhanced multiphase fluid is monitored. The operating condition is adjusted as a function of the monitored property so as to increase a percentage of the oil phase separated from the water phase by the separator over a percentage of the oil phase that would be separated from the water phase without adjustment of the operating condition.

The invention provides a fluid mixer with a fluid reservoir, a ring within the fluid reservoir, a stirrer rotatably coupled in the ring, and a motor to rotate the stirrer. The ring has a wall defining an inner and outer portion of the fluid reservoir, with wall cutouts that allow fluid to pass from the inner portion to the outer portion. The stirrer has a center and multiple paddles, and the rear surface of a first paddle and the front surface of a second paddle define a mixing space, and rotation of the paddles pushes a fluid from the mixing space through one of the cutouts into the outer portion. The invention also provides a method of mixing a fluid, including introducing liquid into a fluid reservoir and a powder into a powder dispenser, activating a stirrer, and dispensing the powder into the liquid while the stirrer is rotating.

Modular systems and apparatuses for creating fracturing slurry disclosed in embodiments herein include, in limited part, a screening and blending tank system having a kinetic screening assembly to receive and filter unscreened sand at a first predetermined rate from a sand delivery component and water at a second predetermined rate, a debris collection component compatible with the screening assembly for removing debris and non-uniform sand particles, and an inline chemical component using a discharge pump to blend screened sand and water with a variable chemical injection without necessarily resorting to use of a blender to create a fracturing slurry that is output at a third predetermined rate for use in hydraulic fracturing operations at a wellsite. One or more sensors in communication with one or more programmable logic controllers may be used to achieve the first, second, and third predetermined rates for a desired composition of the fracturing slurry.
