THE USE OF SILICONE FLUIDS AS INSECTICIDES
Compositions and methods for treating and preventing arthropod infestation are disclosed. A method of treating an arthropod infestation in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering topically to the subject an effective amount of either an insecticidal composition consisting essentially of at least one essential oil and a pentacyclosiloxane or an insecticidal composition comprising at least one essential oil, a pentacyclosiloxane, and a mineral oil.
Composition for Sterilization of Tree Cutting Devices and a Method of Use Thereof
A composition for a sterilizing solution and a method of use thereof intent to provide the user a sterile lubricant for a chainsaw/bandsaw machine, such that they inhibit the spread of tree infections from one tree to another during the process of cutting multiple trees. Preferably, the sterilizing solution includes essential oils that contain terpenes, carvacrol, eugenol, thymol, and other anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral elements. Further, the method of application provides the user the ability to continuously cut one tree after another without the potential danger of spreading an infection from one tree to another tree. Additionally, the method enables users to apply the sterilizing solution over cutting blades as well as over cut tree stumps, thereby sterilizing the surfaces, repelling bugs and preventing infections that are associated with the tree cutting process. Furthermore, the sterilizing solution is a plant-based biodegradable sterilizer that does not harm the environment when used.

Plant antimicrobial compositions including an emulsifier and/or ozone and methods of use
Compositions and methods that utilize a combination of essential oils or other plant-derived extracts or compounds and an emulsifier as an antimicrobial are provided. In some embodiments the compositions further include ozone. In some embodiments, the composition includes one or more plant essential oils, plant extracts, or plant-derived compounds, or combinations thereof, and an emulsifier (such as a saponin). The antimicrobial composition may also include water, peracetic acid, acetic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, and/or hydrogen peroxide. Methods of killing a microorganism, including contacting the microorganism with the disclosed antimicrobial compositions are also provided. The microorganism may be present on a food item or a food contact of non-food contact surface and may be in the form of a biofilm. In some examples, the antimicrobial composition is used one or more times (such as 1 to 5 times).
