Mixing Inclined Belt Conveyor having Static Baffles with Seed Passages

A mixing inclined belt conveyor capable of mixing particulate material, specifically wet, freshly treated plant seeds for agricultural purposes. Inserting a plurality of mixing baffles into the stream of the particulate material induces a backflow of the particulate material. In the case of wet, freshly treated plant seed, this backflow causes a mixing, polishing, and drying of the plant seed. The mixing distributes the seed treatment into an even coat by rubbing the individual seeds of the seed flow stream together. The mixing baffles are oriented to induce backflow and sideways lateral movement and may incorporate a passage to allow increase material flow rate.

Mixing and Drying Conveyor

A conveyor having a conveyance structure, belt, and gas manifold. The gas manifold disposed within or on an exterior portion of the structure. The gas manifold having one or more manifold outlet ports to dry, condition, or treat a metered stream of seed within the conveyor. The manifold may be operably connected to a recirculating air system providing the vacuum source and pressurized air source of atmospheric or conditioned air. A filter and vacuum port may extract debris or humidity from the metered stream of seed within the conveyor. A plurality of mixing baffles may be longitudinally spaced apart through the conveyor in a laterally alternating manner to mix the metered stream of seed. The conveyor may be used to transfer, mix, dry, condition and treat the metered stream of seed between multiple stages of treatment.

A mixing paddle is comprised of a compound, integral center shaft, a rim, a first plurality of parallel blades and a second plurality of parallel blades. The compound, integral center shaft bisects the rim, creating a first side of the rim and a second side of the rim. The first plurality of parallel blades is disposed between the compound, integral center shaft and the first side of the rim. The second plurality of parallel blades is disposed between the compound, integral center shaft and the second side of the rim. The first plurality of parallel blades is orthogonal to the second plurality of parallel blades.

DEVICE FOR GENERATING GAS BUBBLES IN SUSPENSIONS FOR THE ENRICHMENT OF MINERAL AND NON-MINERAL RAW MATERIALS AND USE OF SUCH A DEVICE

The invention relates to a device for generating gas bubbles in suspensions, which are contained in a tank, having a rotation-symmetric stator (16) and a rotation-symmetric rotor (15), which is connected to a hollow drive shaft (5), wherein the stator, the rotor and the hollow drive shaft are arranged concentrically about a vertical axis of rotation (17) of the rotor and the drive shaft, and the rotor executes a rotational movement about the axis of rotation inside the stator.

CONTINUOUS FLOW SYSTEMS WITH BIFURCATING MIXERS

Disclosed herein are continuous flow systems having bifurcated fluidic flow mixers. The mixers operate, at least partially, by Dean vortexing. Accordingly, the mixers are referred to as Dean Vortex Bifurcating Mixers (DVBM). DVBMs utilize Dean vortexing and bifurcation of the fluidic channels that form the mixers to achieve the goal of optimized microfluidic mixing.

Oligomeriser with improved mixing performance

In an embodiment, a reactor for carrying out a melt transesterification reaction at a reactor temperature of 160 to 300 C. and a reactor pressure of 5 to 200 mbar, comprises a cylindrical tank comprising a top, a side, and a bottom, wherein the bottom is convex, extending away from the top; a stirring shaft disposed within the cylindrical tank along an axis thereof so that it is rotatable from outside of the cylindrical tank; an impeller extending from the stirring shaft in the cylindrical tank and comprising a plurality of blades; a reactant solution inlet; a reaction solution outlet; and an externally located heat exchanger in fluid communication with the cylindrical tank via a recirculation stream and a heated stream. The reactor can be used for the polymerization of a polycarbonate oligomer.

HYGIENIC MIXER

A mixing device includes a mixing container rotatable about a first axis of rotation for receiving mixing material, which has a mixer opening and a mixer cover which can be reciprocated between an opened position and a closed position. The mixer cover in the closed position closes the mixer opening and in the opened position exposes the mixer opening. The mixing container is rotatably mounted to a machine stand. The mixer cover is so fixed to the machine stand that the mixing container in the closed position of the mixer cover is rotatable relative to the mixer cover about the first axis of rotation. The machine stand has a stationary element and a pivotal element, wherein the pivotal element is mounted pivotably about a pivot axis relative to the stationary element. The mixing container is mounted rotatably to the pivotal element and the mixer cover is fixed to the pivotal element.

Rotational mixing and induction heating system and method for recycling asphalt using the same

An asphalt processing system is formed from a heating drum and an induction heating system. Flights move asphalt through the heating drum, which concurrently heat the asphalt along with the heating drum wall. A mixing drum can be connected to the heating drum, and include paddles or flights to move the asphalt, while concurrently mixing the material to ensure consistent temperatures through the asphalt cement. The asphalt is heating using one or more induction heating systems to quickly heat the asphalt to between 275 F. and 750 F., followed by moving the asphalt to between 275 F. and 350 F. The system can include a convection system that heats recirculated air through the heating drum. A water condenser can be employed to remove moisture during air recirculation, and reduce asphalt moisture content. The asphalt cement is optionally modified by addition of one or more rejuvenation oils. This system is particularly useful for recycled asphalt pavement, but can be used for all asphalt products.
