Method and apparatus for generating bubbles
A method of generating bubbles of a first fluid in a second fluid, the method comprising: flowing a stream of the second fluid through a microfluidic channel; injecting a stream of the first fluid into the microfluidic channel through an aperture such that bubbles of the first fluid form in the second fluid; and sonicating the microfluidic channel with ultrasound so as to cause the bubbles formed at the aperture to divide.
Producing Homogeneous Metastable Solutions from Heterogeneous Non-condensed Solutes And Liquid Solvents
Disclosed is a method and a device for producing a homogenous metastable supersaturated solution. The homogenous metastable supersaturated solution is comprised of a liquid phase solvent and one or more solutes wherein these individual solutes are gases under conditions of standard temperature and pressure (STP) in a normal atmospheric environment. When the device is used for creating oxygen saturated metastable solutions, the oxygen levels reached to at least 3 times the maximum level that can be detected by commercial dissolved oxygen probes. The device can be used to treat any medical condition that can benefit from the use of high oxygenated or any other highly saturated gas solutions. The device can be used for any non-medical need where a highly saturated gas in solution is needed.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING A DISPERSION, ASSOCIATED ASSEMBLY AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
The application relates to a device for producing a dispersion including elements including a first phase, which are dispersed in a continuous phase immiscible with the first phase. The device including at least one production nozzle including a first duct intended to convey a first fluid that forms the first phase, a second duct, coaxially surrounding part of the first duct, able to convey a second fluid that forms the continuous phase, and an outlet. The nozzle is able to form, at the outlet, a fluid jet including the first fluid and the second fluid surrounding the first fluid. The production device additionally includes a fragmentation device for mechanically breaking up the fluid jet, positioned in the vicinity of the outlet of the nozzle, the fragmentation device including a mobile part intended to break up the fluid jet mechanically into a plurality of elements.
System for Making a Composition of Matter
A system for making a composition of matter that may include a neutralization reactor; an oil phase mixer or preparation vessel; an aqueous phase mixer or preparation vessel; an emulsifier; a homogenizer or comparable; a polymerization reactor, which may be a tube reactor; and an inversion vessel or comparable. The system may be suitable to make or otherwise produce the composition that includes by weight percent about: 15-25% oil phase; 35-50% water; 20-35% polymer; 0-10% surfactant; and 0-3% other trace materials.
CAVITATOR OF MICROBUBBLE GENERATOR, MICROBUBBLE GENERATOR AND WASHING DEVICE
A cavitator of a microbubble generator, the microbubble generator and a washing device. The cavitator has a cavitation inlet and a cavitation outlet, at least one Venturi channel extending from the cavitation inlet towards the cavitation outlet is defined in the cavitator, and in the water flow direction, each of the Venturi channels includes a tapered section, a venturi and a divergent section in sequence, an open area of the tapered section is decreased gradually in a direction from the cavitation inlet to the throat pipe, an open area of the divergent section is increased gradually in a direction from the throat pipe to the cavitation outlet, and the throat pipe has a diameter of 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING FLUIDS
A method for processing a fluid includes removably securing a retention member to a vessel that bounds a chamber; inserting a collapsible bag within the chamber of the vessel; securing the bag to the retention member so that the bag is supported within the chamber of the vessel; and dispensing a fluid into a compartment of the collapsible bag supported within the chamber of the vessel. The fluid can be mixed within bag while the bag is disposed within the vessel.
APPARATUS BUFFER AND METHOD FOR PH CONTROL
An apparatus, buffer solutions and a method are provided for pH control of in vitro dissolution tests used to monitor the drug release rate from solid unit dosage forms which are used to predict their in vivo effects or for quality control purposes. A method of preparing a continuous condition and a clear bicarbonate ion based solution for in vitro dissolution testing of pharmaceutical products is also provided.
An enclosure device is also provided for use in the provision of pH control and stabilization to a bicarbonate based solution used in the in vitro dissolution testing of pharmaceutical products.
PISTON SYSTEM AND HIGH PRESSURE HOMOGENIZER USING THE PISTON SYSTEM
The invention relates to a piston system (1) for use in a homogenizer, comprising a piston (2) that is configured and arranged to make a reciprocating movement in use of the piston system, a cylinder (3) that is configured and arranged to receive and guide at least a first part of the piston, a first supply channel (8) that is configured and arranged to supply a lubricating medium (9) to a portion (10) of the first part of the piston that in use is arranged inside the cylinder, and a second supply channel (13) that is configured and arranged to, in use, supply a cooling medium (14) to a second part of the piston outside the cylinder. Also disclosed is a process for the production of an elastomer agglomerate composition forcing a slurry comprising elastomeric particles through an aperture to obtain the elastomer agglomerate composition using the piston system.
