According to the principles of the present invention a combination sinker and bait stabilizer for a fishing hook is provided. The device is intended for use with a fishing hook having a curved shaft and a sharp tip extending from the curved shaft. The device includes an attachment portion including an eye adapted for receiving the curved shaft through the sharp tip and for lying on the curved shaft. The device further includes first and second capture members attached to the attachment portion and spaced apart from each other, the first and second capture members lying in a plane lateral to the plane of the fishing hook and extending upwardly to be inserted into a portion of a soft bait to maintain the soft bait laterally to the fishing hook.

The present inventive concept relates to an artificial bait with movable hooks that is capable of easily catching cephalopods such as octopus ocellatus, cuttlefish, and the like underwater. According to the present inventive concept, in the process of performing hook setting, the movable hooks located at one end portion of the body move to the other end portion of the body, so that the cuttlefish around the body can be easily caught by the movable hooks suddenly protruding outward.

A bait cage assembly is provided for use in fishing. The assembly includes a cage that is fixedly mounted on the hook in such a way that the cage does not hinder the hooks ability to impale game fish. The cage includes a pivotal back cover user to open and close the cage for refilling with bait. In addition, the cage is made up of material that is durable enough to withstand the underwater environment, but is also permeable enough to release the scent of the bait contained inside.

An accessory for a treble fishing hook features an attachment body spanning about a longitudinal axis on which an opening extends into said attachment body. The attachment body has a plurality of slots spaced apart around said longitudinal axis, and each slot has a first leg extending axially into the attachment body from a first axial end of the attachment body toward an opposing second axial end thereof. Each slot is arranged to receive and engage an intermediate portion of a respective hook of the fishing hook into the slot via an open end of the first leg of the slot at the first axial end of the attachment body. The attachment hangs from the intermediate portions of the hooks to support a dressing on the treble hook while leaving the tips or points of the hooks unobscured for normal use during a fish bite.

An accessory for a treble fishing hook features an attachment body spanning about a longitudinal axis on which an opening extends into said attachment body. The attachment body has a plurality of slots spaced apart around said longitudinal axis, and each slot has a first leg extending axially into the attachment body from a first axial end of the attachment body toward an opposing second axial end thereof. Each slot is arranged to receive and engage an intermediate portion of a respective hook of the fishing hook into the slot via an open end of the first leg of the slot at the first axial end of the attachment body. The attachment hangs from the intermediate portions of the hooks to support a dressing on the treble hook while leaving the tips or points of the hooks unobscured for normal use during a fish bite.

A bait cover for securing a hook to a fish is provided. The bait cover may include an elastic and non-porous tube. A closed end of the tube may be configured to be pierced by a hook tip. The tube may have a non-stretched length to non-stretched width ratio between 3.9 and 4.4. A wall connects the closed end of the tube to an open end of the tube. The tube may be configured to secure the hook located at least partially between the wall and an external surface of the fish located at least partially within the tube with a line end of the hook outside the tube and a medial hook portion within the tube. The tube may further be configured to conform to the contour of at least a portion of the fish and a portion of the hook located within the tube.
