Accelerated aluminosilicate zeolite crystallization

A method for crystallizing aluminosilicate zeolites, including the steps of preparing a mixture containing a silica source, a mineralizing agent, an organic structure directing agent; heating the mixture to form a heated mixture; and adding an alumina source to the heated mixture. The method steps described herein can provide an accelerated aluminosilicate zeolite crystallization process as compared to conventional processes.

A power system comprises an engine configured to combust an air/fuel mixture and produce a flow of exhaust gas; an exhaust passageway fluidly connected to the engine to receive the flow of exhaust gas; an exhaust gas recirculation loop fluidly connecting the exhaust passageway to a fuel intake for the engine; a first conversion zone containing a fuel reforming catalyst located within the exhaust gas recirculation loop; and a second conversion zone located within the exhaust gas recirculation loop separate from and downstream of the first conversion zone stream, the second conversion zone containing a fuel cracking catalyst.

METHOD

The present disclosure relates to a method for forming a catalyst article comprising: (a) forming a plastic mixture having a solids content of greater than 50% by weight by mixing together a crystalline small pore or medium pore molecular sieve in an H.sup.+ or NH.sub.4.sup.+ form, an insoluble active metal precursor, an inorganic matrix component, an organic auxiliary agent, an aqueous solvent and optionally inorganic fibres; (b) moulding the plastic mixture into a shaped article; and (c) calcining the shaped article to form a solid catalyst body. The present disclosure further relates to a catalyst article, particularly a catalyst article which is suitable for use in the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides, and to an exhaust system.

The present disclosure is directed to a low temperature carbon monoxide (LT-CO) oxidation catalyst composition for abatement of exhaust gas emissions from a lean burn engine. The LT-CO oxidation catalyst composition includes an oxygen storage component (OSC), a first platinum group metal (PGM) component, and a promoter metal, wherein the OSC is impregnated with the first PGM component and the promoter metal and the LT-CO oxidation catalyst composition is effective for oxidizing carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) under cold start conditions. Further provided are catalytic articles including the LT-CO oxidation catalyst composition, which may optionally further include a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) composition (giving an LT-CO/DOC article). Further provided is an exhaust gas treatment system including such catalytic articles, and methods for reducing a HC or CO level in an exhaust gas stream using such catalytic articles.

To provide an exhaust gas purification catalyst that is less likely to cause an increase in pressure loss, even a large amount of zeolite-based SCR catalyst is used to improve NOx purification capability. The exhaust gas purification catalyst includes a DPF provided with zeolite having a primary particle size equal to or less than 0.5 μm. In addition, it is preferable that 50% particle size of the zeolite measured by dynamic light scattering is equal to or less than 2.0 μm, and further, it is preferable that the 90% particle size of the zeolite is equal to or less than 2.5 μm.

JMZ-1S, a CHA-containing molecular sieve and methods of preparation

JMZ-1S, a silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve having a CHA structure and containing a trimethyl(cyclohexylmethyl)ammonium cation cation is described. A calcined product, JMZ-1SC, formed from JMZ-1S is also described. Methods of preparing JMZ-1S, JMZ-1SC and metal containing calcined counterparts of JMZ-1SC are described along with methods of using JMZ-1SC and metal containing calcined counterparts of JMZ-1SC in treating exhaust gases and in converting methanol to olefines.
