A catalyst system for dewaxing of a hydrocarbon feedstock comprising a mixture of a first dewaxing catalyst composition and a second dewaxing catalyst composition, wherein the first dewaxing catalyst composition is a ZSM-12 zeolite based catalyst composition and the second dewaxing catalyst composition is a EU-2 and/or ZSM-48 zeolite based catalyst composition, and wherein a concentration gradient of the mixture is achieved within a single catalyst bed, such that the concentration of the first dewaxing catalyst is decreasing and the concentration of the second dewaxing catalyst is increasing through the catalyst bed; and a process for dewaxing of a hydrocarbon feedstock comprising contacting the hydrocarbon feedstock with said catalyst system.

FCC CATALYST ADDITIVE WITH MIXED ALUMINA
Provided is a Fluid Catalytic Cracking catalyst additive composition and method of making the same. The catalyst additive composition comprises zeolite about 35 wt% to about 80 wt%, preferably about 40 wt% to about 70 wt%; silica about 0 wt% to about 10 wt%, preferably about 2 wt% to about 10 wt%; about 10.5 wt% to 20 wt% alumina and about 7 wt% to 20 wt% P.sub.2O.sub.5, preferably about 11 wt% to about 18 wt%, and the balance clay which can fall between 0 and 50 wt%. The alumina is typically derived from more than one source, such as at least an amorphous or small crystallite size pseudo-boehmite alumina and then either a either a large crystallite size alumina or other reactive alumina.

A process that separates the fillers found in plastics from catalyst and the gases in a fluid bed catalytic pyrolysis process for the conversion of waste plastics, polymers, and other waste materials to useful chemical and fuel products such as paraffins, olefins, and aromatics such as BTX, is described.
Composite hierarchical zeolite catalyst for heavy reformate conversion to xylenes
A method of producing a hierarchical zeolite composite catalyst. The method including dissolving, in an alkaline solution and in the presence of a surfactant, a catalyst precursor comprising mesoporous zeolite to yield a dissolved zeolite solution, where the mesoporous zeolite comprises large pore mordenite and medium pore ZSM-5. The method also including condensing the dissolved zeolite solution to yield a solid zeolite composite from the dissolved zeolite solution and heating the solid zeolite composite to remove the surfactant. The method further including impregnating the solid zeolite composite with one or more active metals selected from the group consisting of molybdenum, platinum, rhenium, nickel, and combinations thereof to yield impregnated solid zeolite composite and calcining the impregnated solid zeolite composite to produce the hierarchical zeolite composite catalyst. The hierarchical zeolite composite catalyst has a mesostructure comprising at least one disordered mesophase and at least one ordered mesophase.
Liquid Phase Transalkylation Process
Methods and corresponding catalysts are provided for transalkylation of 1-ring (C.sub.9+) aromatic compounds, such as transalkylation to form para-xylene and/or other xylenes. Suitable catalysts include molecular sieves having a 3-D 12-member ring framework structure, molecular sieves having a 1-D 12-member ring framework structure, acidic microporous materials with a pore channel size of at least 6.0 Angstroms, and/or molecular sieves having a MWW framework structure. The methods include performing transalkylation where at least a portion of the feed to the transalkylation process is in the liquid phase. Optionally, the transalkylation conditions can correspond to conditions where a continuous liquid phase is present within the reaction environment. Some embodiments include liquid phase transalkylation processes for naphthalene-containing feedstock streams.
Process for making molecular sieves
Processes are provided for preparing molecular sieves for use as catalysts. The process involves preparing a synthesis mixture for the molecular sieve wherein the synthesis mixture includes a morphology modifier which may be selected from cationic surfactants having a single quaternary ammonium group comprising at least one hydrocarbyl group having at least 12 carbon atoms, nonionic surfactants, anionic surfactants, sugars, and combinations thereof.
SSZ-91 CATALYST
A family of new crystalline molecular sieves designated SSZ-91 is disclosed, as are methods for making SSZ-91 and uses for SSZ-91. Molecular sieve SSZ-91 is structurally similar to sieves falling within the ZSM-48 family of molecular sieves, and is characterized as: (1) having a low degree of faulting, (2) a low aspect ratio that inhibits hydrocracking as compared to conventional ZSM-48 materials having an aspect ratio of greater than 8, and (3) is substantially phase pure.
