A small pore size synthetic zeolite having a degree of crystallinity of at least 80% and comprising at least 0.01 wt % based on the weight of the zeolite of at least one catalytic metal selected from the group consisting of Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Os, Ir, Pt, Au, Mo, W, Re, Co, Ni, Zn, Cr, Mn, Ce, Ga and combinations thereof, wherein at least 80% of the catalytic metal is encapsulated in the zeolite, wherein if the zeolite is an aluminosilicate it has a SiO.sub.2:Al.sub.2O.sub.3 molar ratio of greater than 6:1.

The present disclosure relates to the catalytic field, and discloses a catalyst system and a light hydrocarbon aromatization method, a carbon dioxide hydrogenation process and a method for enhancing the catalytic activity and/or lifetime of the catalyst during a heterogeneous catalysis process, the catalyst system comprising a porous material layer containing an active metal component and a molecular sieve layer. The catalyst system provided by the present disclosure exhibits desirable catalytic activity, stability, renewability and selectivity, thus has significant benefits.
Method for making a catalyst comprising a phosphorous modified zeolite and use of said zeolite
A method to make a phosphorus modified zeolite can include providing a zeolite including at least one ten member ring in the structure, steaming the zeolite, mixing the zeolite with one or more binders and shaping additives, and then shaping the mixture. The method can include making a ion-exchange. The shaped mixture can be steamed. Phosphorous can be introduced on the catalyst to introduce at least 0.1 wt % of phosphorus, such as be dry impregnation or chemical vapor deposition. A metal, such as calcium, can be introduced. The catalyst can be washed, calcinated, and then steamed. The steaming severity (X) can be at least about 2. The catalyst can be steamed at a temperature above 625 C., such as a temperature ranging from 700 to 800 C. The catalyst can be used in alcohol dehydration, olefin cracking, MTO processes, and alkylation of aromatics by alcohols with olefins and/or alcohols.
Production of organic materials using solid catalysts
The present disclosure provides a method for producing organic compounds, such as esters, from an organic feedstock that includes at least one of a biopolymer or a lipid. The method includes heating the feedstock in the presence of a solid catalyst, such as a solid, inorganic Lewis acid catalyst, and reaction medium that includes an alcohol. At least certain ester products have an ester group corresponding to a substituent of the alcohol.
FCC CATALYST WITH ENHANCED MESOPOROSITY, ITS PREPARATION AND USE
Process for the preparation of a catalyst by adding, clay, boehmite, a first silica to form a slurry, digesting the slurry with a monoprotic acid to a pH of less than 4, adding one or more zeolites, adding a rare earth component to the slurry and mixing, adjusting the slurry pH to below 4 with monoprotic acid, adding a second silica anywhere in the preceding steps, destabilizing the slurry by raising the pH, shaping and collecting the resulting catalyst, wherein the resulting catalyst has enhanced mesoporosity.

Catalyst for conversion of oxygenates to aromatics

Mesoporous catalyst compounds and uses thereof
The present disclosure provides mesoporous catalyst compounds and compositions having one or more group 13 atoms. The present disclosure further relates to processes for converting hydrocarbon feedstocks to small olefins. In one aspect, a catalyst compound includes a zeolite having a structural type selected from MFI, MSE, MTW, Theta-One (TON), Ferrierite (FER), AFI, AFS, ATO, BEA, BEC, BOG, BPH, CAN, CON, EMT, EON, EZT, FAU, GME, GON, IFR, ISV, ITN, IWR, IWW, LTL, MAZ, MEI, MOR, MOZ, OFF, OKO, OSI, SAF, SAO, SEW, SFE, SFO, SSF, SSY, and USI, or a combination thereof, the zeolite having a silicon to aluminum molar ratio (Si/Al ratio) of from about 5 to about 40. In one aspect, a catalyst composition includes the catalyst compound and one or more group 13 metal.
PROCESS FOR THE EPOXIDATION OF PROPENE
In a process for the epoxidation of propene, comprising the steps of reacting propene with hydrogen peroxide, separating propene oxide and a recovered propene stream from the reaction mixture, separating propane from all or a part of the recovered propene stream in a C3 splitter column, and passing the overhead product stream of the C3 splitter column to the epoxidation step, a propane starting material with a propane fraction of from 0.002 to 0.10 is used, the epoxidation is operated to provide a propane fraction in the reaction mixture of from 0.05 to 0.20 and the C3 splitter column is operated to provide an overhead product stream which comprises a propane fraction of at least 0.04 in order to reduce the size and the energy consumption of the C3 splitter column.

A method of preparing a crystalline STT-type zeolite that has a mole ratio greater than about 15:1 of a tetravalent element oxide to a trivalent element oxide is disclosed along with a gas treatment system that incorporates the STT-type zeolite and a process for treating a gas using the STT-type zeolite. The method generally comprises forming an aqueous mixture comprising a tetravalent element oxide source, a trivalent element oxide source, a source of alkali metal, and an organic structure directing agent; maintaining the mixture under conditions that crystallize crystals of a STT-type zeolite; and recovering the crystals The STT-type zeolite crystals exhibit x-ray diffraction 2-theta degree peaks at: 8.26, 8.58, 9.28, 9.54, 10.58, 14.52, 15.60, 16.43, 17.13, 17.74, 18.08, 18.46, 19.01, 19.70, 20.12, 20.38, 20.68, 21.10, 21.56, 22.20, 22.50, 22.78, 23.36, 23.76, 23.99, 24.54, 24.92, 25.16, 25.58, 25.80, 26.12, 26.94, 27.38, 27.92, 28.30, 28.60, 29.24, 29.48, 30.08, 30.64, 31.20, 31.46, 31.80, 32.02, 32.60, 33.60, and 34.43.
