CHEMICAL REACTION APPARATUS
In order to suppress discharge of an unreacted content in a chemical reaction apparatus for irradiating a content with microwaves, a chemical reaction apparatus includes: a horizontal flow-type reactor in which a liquid content horizontally flows with an unfilled space being provided thereabove; a microwave generator that generates microwaves; and a waveguide that transmits the microwaves generated by the microwave generator to the unfilled space in the reactor, wherein the inside of the reactor is partitioned into multiple chambers to by overflow-type partition plates and that allow the content to flow thereover and an underflow-type partition plate that allows the content to flow thereunder.
SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, UTILIZATION OF MICROWAVE ENERGY WITHIN A MICROWAVE REACTOR
There is disclosed is a microwave reactor system for generating a microwave field within a microwave-stimulated conversion zone for effectuating dielectric heating of catalyst material, for catalyzing a reactive process by the heated catalyst material.
Microwave assisted fluidized bed reactor
System and methods for plasma treatment of a fluidized bed of particles are disclosed. The systems include an energy coupling zone configured to generate a plasma from microwave radiation and an interface element configured to propagate the plasma from the energy coupling zone to a reaction zone. The reaction zone is configured to receive the plasma, receive a plurality of reactant particles in a fluidization plane direction from a fluidization assembly positioned below the reaction zone, and form a product in presence of the plasma. The fluidization plane is substantially perpendicular to the propagated plasma.
REACTION VESSEL, GAS PRODUCTION DEVICE, GAS PRODUCTION SYSTEM, AND GAS PRODUCTION METHOD
Provided are a reactor that can operate stably without being subject to restrictions on heating temperature, a gas production apparatus (that is, an industrially advantageous gas production apparatus) having the reactor, a gas production system, and a gas production method. Each of reactors 4a and 4b includes a container 41 having a single internal space 410 through which gas is capable of passing and a reducing agent layer 42 with which the internal space 410 is filled and which is configured by a reducing agent 4R reducing carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide. When the container 41 is cut in a direction orthogonal to a passage direction of the gas, a proportion of a cross-sectional area of the reducing agent layer 42 to a cross-sectional area of the internal space 410 is equal to or greater than 60%.
CONVERSION OF GREENHOUSE GASES TO SYNTHESIS GAS BY DRY REFORMING
A method for conversion of greenhouse gases comprises: introducing a flow of a dehumidified gaseous source of carbon dioxide into a reaction vessel; introducing a flow of a dehumidified gaseous source of methane into the reaction vessel; and irradiating catalytic material in the reaction vessel with microwave energy. The irradiated catalytic material is heated and catalyzes an endothermic reaction of carbon dioxide and methane that produces hydrogen and carbon monoxide. At least a portion of heat required to maintain a temperature within the reaction vessel is supplied by the microwave energy. If desired, a mixture that includes carbon monoxide and hydrogen can flow out of the reaction vessel and be introduced into a second reaction vessel to undergo catalyzed reactions producing multiple-carbon reaction products.
CHEMICAL REACTION METHOD
A chemical reaction method having steps of preparing a chemical reaction apparatus by partitioning an inside of a horizontal flow reactor into multiple chambers by multiple partition plates, and flowing a liquid horizontally with an unfilled space being provided thereabove, generating microwaves with a microwave generator, and transmiting the microwaves, with at least one waveguide, to the unfilled space in the reactor. Also forming a top portion of the partition plates act as a weir, inclining the reactor such that, in each of the chambers, a weir height on the inlet side is higher than a weir height on the outlet side by at least an overflow depth at the partition plate on the outlet side, flowing content over each of the partition plates inside the reactor, and configuring the weir heights of the partition plates in the reactor are the same in a state where the reactor is not inclined.
