EQUILIBRIUM APPROACH REACTOR
An equilibrium approach reactor with the ability to receive a highly variable gas and normalise it to a useful quality, and further to utilise the energy from the gas itself to robustly elevate the operating temperature, to ensure good mixing and high conversion while having the ability to handle solids in multiple states.
Method and apparatus for preparing composite
A method and apparatus for preparing a composite, in which the angle between the apparatus base and the apparatus body is adjusted by the elevator device, the solid raw material is loaded into the reactor by the solid feeding device, the main reaction gas, the auxiliary gas and the carrier gas are introduced from the front gas intake unit into the main reaction zone at a preset ratio, followed by the active material deposited on solid particles, the post-processing reaction gas is introduced from the middle gas intake unit to the post-processing reaction zone to form a functional layer on the active material, the prepared composite powder is separated and collected from the gas-solid mixture in the collection device. The exhaust gas is released from the exhaust manifold into an exhaust gas treatment system after minority powder filtered by the filter.
Microwave-based thermal coupling chemical looping gasification method employing two sources, and device for same
A microwave-based thermal coupling chemical looping gasification method and device. The device includes: a microwave radiation cavity; a loading recess of a microwave absorbing material; and a quartz pipe reaction cavity between the microwave radiation cavity and the loading recess of a microwave absorbing material. A microwave generator consisting of magnetrons is provided at a central portion of the microwave radiation cavity and below the loading recess. An infrared temperature-measuring probe group is arranged at two ends of the magnetrons. Two ends of the microwave radiation cavity are connected to a first and second three-way valves, in communication with the ambient atmosphere and a protection gas charging device. A protection gas cooling device and a protection gas circulating fan are sequentially connected in series on a pipeline between the valves.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR SYNTHESIZING MULTIWALL CARBON NANOTUBES FROM HIGH MOLECULAR POLYMERIC WASTES
This invention relates to a process and an apparatus for synthesizing multiwall carbon nanotubes from high molecular polymeric wastes. The process comprises using induction heating in combination with catalytic chemical vapour deposition (CVD) with an array of catalytic materials to synthesize high value carbon nanotubes with better yield and purity from high molecular polymeric wastes.
Radiant non-catalytic recuperative reformer
A radiant, non-catalytic recuperative reformer has a flue gas flow path for conducting hot exhaust gas from a thermal process and a reforming mixture flow path for conducting a reforming mixture. At least a portion of the reforming mixture flow path is positioned adjacent to the flue gas flow path to permit heat transfer from the hot exhaust gas to the reforming mixture. The reforming mixture flow path contains substantially no material commonly used as a catalyst for reforming hydrocarbon fuel (e.g., nickel oxide, platinum group elements or rhenium), but instead the reforming mixture is reformed into a higher calorific fuel via reactions due to the heat transfer and residence time. In a preferred embodiment, a portion of the reforming mixture flow path is positioned outside of flue gas flow path for a relatively large residence time.
SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR CUMENE HYDROPEROXIDE CLEAVAGE WITH IMPROVED ONLINE INSTRUMENTATION CONFIGURATION
Disclosed herein are a method and systems for cumene hydroperoxide cleavage with an improved configuration for online instrumentation. The systems comprise a first fluid loop comprising one or more reactors and a fluid pump and a second fluid loop in fluid communication with the first fluid loop. This second fluid loop comprises an instrument configured to measure a characteristic of a fluid flowing through the second loop, wherein an input of the second fluid loop is disposed downstream of said fluid pump and an output of the second fluid loop is disposed upstream of said fluid pump. The method comprises causing fluid to flow within a first stage comprising one or more reactors and a fluid pump, wherein the first stage is configured to decompose a cumene hydroperoxide in the presence of a catalyst mixture to form a dicumyl peroxide mixture. The method also comprises causing at least a portion of the fluid to flow through a instrumentation line in open fluid communication with the first stage. This instrumentation line comprises an instrument configured to measure a characteristic of the fluid flowing through the instrumentation line and an input of the instrument line is disposed downstream of said fluid pump.
APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR HEATING HYDROISOMERIZATION FEED
The process and apparatus of the disclosure utilize a heater between a hydroprocessing reactor and a hydroisomerization reactor. A hydroprocessing feed exchanger cools hydroprocessed effluent to effect turndown of heated hydroprocessed effluent so as to not feed the hydroprocessed effluent to the hydroisomerization reactor at a higher temperature than necessary.
FLOW-TYPE REACTOR HEAT-EXCHANGER AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A reactor includes a first outer tube configured to contain a working fluid, and a first inner tube disposed in the first outer tube. The first inner tube is configured to contain a source of heat to transfer or absorb heat to or from the working fluid. The reactor further includes a second inner tube in the first outer tube. The second inner tube is wound around the first inner tube in a helical fashion, and the second inner tube is configured absorbs heat from and/or dissipates heat to the working fluid, and/or facilitate a reaction in a reactant contained in the second inner tube.
Method and system for the integral chlorine dioxide production with relatively independent sodium chlorate electrolytic production and chlorine dioxide production
A system for the integral chlorine dioxide production with relatively independent sodium chlorate electrolytic production and chlorine dioxide production is provided. The system may feed electrolyte solution into a solid-liquid filter, filtering out the crystal and eliminating sodium chloride and sodium dichromate. The sodium chlorate crystal may be fed into a chlorine dioxide generator after dissolving, while sodium chloride and sodium dichromate solution separately return to electrolyzer for electrolysis process. Sodium chloride may be constantly formed as a by-product in the chlorine dioxide production unit, and solution containing the sodium chloride is withdrawn from the generator and, after filtration, washing and dissolution, recycled back to sodium chlorate production unit. This way, there is no need of sodium chloride make-up.
A METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING BIOFUEL IN AN OSCILLATING FLOW PRODUCTION LINE UNDER SUPERCRITICAL FLUID CONDITIONS
The invention discloses a method for producing bio-fuel (BF) from a high-viscosity biomass using thermo-chemical conversion of the biomass in a production line (10) with pumping means (PM), heating means (HM) and cooling means (CM). The method has the steps of 1) operating the pumping means, the heating means and the cooling means so that the production line is under supercritical fluid conditions (SCF) to induce biomass conversion in a conversion zone (CZ) within the production line, and 2) operating the pumping means so that at least part of the production line is in an oscillatory flow (OF) mode. The invention is advantageous for providing an improved method for producing biofuel from a high-viscosity biomass. This is performed by an advantageous combination of two operating modes: supercritical fluid (SCF) conditions and oscillatory flow (OF).
