Fishing tackle devices and methods of manufacturing same
09675055 · 2017-06-13 ·

Tackle or artificial fly devices for improved fishing experience. The tackle device includes head and tail portions formed of a single, continuous material and allows one to tie flies thereon without fixing a certain hook type and/or size directly to the device. A lumen extends the device length and enables the tackle device to slide freely along a fishing line and more easily release from junction tubing and/or a fishing hook when a fish strikes. The tackle device can consist of a plastic, polycarbonate or other rigid polymer formed via injection molding. Device head portions can include cylindrical, dome as well as segmented shapes; various sizes; and one or more bills, cavities and/or carve-outs to create desired motion of the device while fishing. Incorporating draft into the tail portion further facilitates separation from junction tubing when hooking a fish, thereby prolonging the useful life of the tackle device.

Artificial Snake Fishing Lure
20170099823 · 2017-04-13 · ·

A method of forming a fishing lure resembling a snake such that the snake exhibits incredible lifelike action when pulled from a head of the lure through the water is disclosed. The method of forming the fishing lure may include forming the lure from a mold having at least one cavity forming a tube with a longitudinal axis curved in a spiral shape. When the lure is pulled from the mold after curing, the lure will extend generally along a linear longitudinal axis. However, because the snake lure was formed in a spiral shape, the lure has a much greater lifelike action than conventional artificial snakes that are formed with a linear cavity in a mold, such as within a mold having a linear, such as straight, longitudinal axis.

A bead-shaped fishing lure is provided that can easily be secured to a fishing line while a hook is attached to the line. The lure includes a body and cap, where the cap includes a protrusion and the body has a corresponding hole, where the cap and body can be affixed to one another by inserting the protrusion into the hole to yield a spherical or spheroidal shape. A channel along the length of either the body or the protrusion receives the fishing line such that the lure is affixed to the fishing line by friction to inhibit motion of the lure along the fishing line when the cap and body are secured together. The cap can be affixed to the body using screw threads, friction, or pegs on the protrusion that rotate into recesses at the bottom of the hole. The fishing lure can be made from plastic, metal, rubber, polymer, and the like.

Dredge with replaceable arms
