This application relates to a sample analyzing apparatus. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a base, a connector arranged at an end of the base, and a temperature controlling member mounted on the base and configured to adjust a temperature of the connector. The apparatus may also include a controller configured to adjust heat generation of the temperature controlling member to adjust a bonding force of a pipette tip attached to a surface of the connector.

LOW-POWER ELECTRONIC PIPETTE

A low-power electronic pipette has a charging management module (10), a control module (20), a motor driving module (30), a display module (40), a communication module (50), a sensing module (60), and a battery module (70). The charging management module, the communication module, and the sensing module are each in two-way communication with the control module. The display module and the motor driving module are each in one-way communication with the control module. The battery module supplies energy to the low-power electronic pipette. When the sensing module acquires a signal and determines that the low-power electronic pipette has not been operated for a predetermined period and is not in a charging state, the low-power electronic pipette enters a low-power mode, in which the control module turns off the charging management module, the motor driving module, the display module, and the communication module, and the control module enters a sleep state.

Manually-operated mono-channel or multichannel pipettes and control button intended for such pipettes

The invention relates to a manually-operated mono-channel or multi-channel pipette for the sampling and dispensing of a liquid sample in accordance with a given protocol, comprising a control button equipped with an autonomous control device which can supply a user with information relating to a pipetting operation in real time during the pipetting operation.

PIPETTE AND LIQUID COLLECTION METHOD

In a capillary of a pipette, first and second ends in a longitudinal direction are opened. A pressure chamber communicates through the second end with an internal portion of the capillary. A driving part changes a volume of the pressure chamber. A control part outputs a first signal driving the driving part so that the volume of the pressure chamber increases and liquid is suctioned from the first end. A suction signal in the first signal drives the driving part so that the volume of the pressure chamber increases from a volume before suction of the liquid by a first increase amount to become a post-suction volume. A brake signal is output following the suction signal and drives the driving part so that the volume of the pressure chamber is reduced from the post-suction volume by an amount which is smaller in absolute value than the first increase amount.

SYSTEM, METHOD AND INTERFACE FOR PARALLEL PROCESSING OF ANTIMICROBIAL SUSCEPTIBILITY TESTS USING DIFFERENT SAMPLES

An improved system, method and interface for automated rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) is disclosed which includes, in one aspect, a carrier population station comprising a workstation having a graphic user interface (GUI). The GUI accepts information from a lab technologist, including information related to a scope of testing to be performed on a microorganism containing sample. The GUI controls intelligent assignment of microorganism containing samples to test panels in a manner that maximize utilization of the test carrier by grouping together samples of similar tests scopes and advantageously testing those samples using one multiplexed test panel. Customizing workflow in accordance with test scope to facilitate parallel processing of multiple samples advantageously reduces laboratory waste, decreases test latencies, increases AST system throughput and efficiency, and thus lowers the costs to the AST lab.
