COLLECTION SYSTEMS FOR FLOW CYTOMETRICALLY SORTED SAMPLES AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
Collection systems for flow cytometrically sorted samples are provided. Aspects of the collection systems include: a collection container having a sort tube configured to be in droplet receiving relationship with a sort block of a flow cytometer; and a sample output operatively coupling a cell collection location of the collection container to a mating connection for a receiving container, such as an evacuated receiving container. Also provided are methods using the collection systems, as well as assemblies and kits including components of the systems.
METHOD FOR ONLINE SAMPLING AN ALIQUOT FROM A MOBILE PHASE COMPRISING AN ANALYTE OF AN APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A PHARMACEUTICAL OR CHEMICAL PRODUCT
A method for online sampling an aliquot from a mobile phase comprising an analyte of an apparatus (102) for producing a pharmaceutical or chemical product, wherein the apparatus (102) comprises an analytical device (114) and a tube (112), wherein the tube (112) comprises an inlet (116), an outlet (118) and at least one curved portion (120), wherein the outlet (118) is in fluid communication with the analytical device (114), wherein the curved portion (120) is located between the inlet (116) and the outlet (118), wherein a flow direction of the mobile phase is defined from the inlet (116) to the outlet (118), the method comprising: providing a sample device (124) comprising a needle (134) with a needle tip (136), a septum (138) pierceable by the needle (134) and a pump (128), wherein the needle (134) is moveable between an extended position in which the septum (138) is pierced by the needle (134), and a retracted position, in which the septum (138) is not pierced, disposing the sample device (124) at the curved portion (120) of the tube (112), moving the needle (134) to the extended position such that the needle tip (136) faces the flow direction, and operating the pump (128) so as to draw an aliquot out of the mobile phase.
Further, a system (100) comprising an apparatus (102) for producing a pharmaceutical or chemical product and a sample device (124) is disclosed.
Biological Fluid Collection Device and Collection Module
A biological fluid collection device that receives a sample and provides flow-through blood stabilization technology and a precise sample dispensing function for point-of-care and near patient testing applications is disclosed. A biological fluid collection device of the present disclosure is able to effectuate distributed mixing of a sample stabilizer within a blood sample and dispense the stabilized sample in a controlled manner. In this manner, a biological fluid collection device of the present disclosure enables blood micro-sample management, e.g., passive mixing with a sample stabilizer and controlled dispensing, for point-of-care and near patient testing applications.
Segment sampler
A tube segment sampler system (10) for withdrawing a fluid sample from a tube segment (100), the sampler (10) having a first tube piercing member (28) for piercing the tube segment at a first location and a second tube piercing member (28) for piercing the tube segment at a second location so as to allow air to be drawn into the tube segment (100) through one of the openings made by one of the piercing members (28) while fluid is withdrawn through the other of the openings.
Method and device for transferring liquids
The present invention relates to a pressure-tight storage vessel containing a liquid, wherein the storage vessel has an inner floor and an upper side and is closed in a pressure-sealing manner by a closure, and wherein the nature of the storage vessel allows pressure-sealing piercing with at least two hollow needles; and to a method for transferring a liquid from a storage vessel to a reaction vessel, the method comprising the following steps: supplying the storage vessel according to the invention, pressure-sealing piercing with a first hollow needle, which is connected to a rinsing-liquid tank, and pressure-sealing piercing with a second hollow needle, which is connected to the reaction vessel, introducing rinsing liquid from the rinsing-liquid tank, via the first hollow needle, into the storage vessel, the liquid being driven out of the storage vessel, via the second hollow needle, into the reaction vessel; and to an apparatus which is suitable for implementing the method according to the invention.
Generating a Fluid Stream in a Microfluidic Device
A fluid handling and delivery system useful in generating a fluid stream in the flow path of microfluidic device.

Transfer device of biological material
A transfer device for the contamination free transfer of biological material from a sealed chamber to a recipient. The transfer device includes a support having a first docking area and a second docking area. The first docking area has at least one inlet port, each inlet port creating a fluid connection with one sealed chamber. The second docking area has at least one outlet port, each outlet port creating a fluid connection with a recipient. The first docking area further includes a piercing element designed for piercing a sealing element of a sealed chamber in order to allow, together with at least one inlet port, a fluid connection between a pierced sealed chamber and the inlet port, to allow a contamination free transfer of the biological material from the pierced sealed chamber to at least one recipient.
ISOLATION TUBE
A separation container for extracting a portion of a sample for use or testing and method for preparing samples for downstream use or testing are provided. The separation container may include a body defining an internal chamber. The body may define an opening, and the body may be configured to receive the sample within the internal chamber. The separation container may further include a seal disposed across the opening, such that the seal may be configured to seal the opening of the body, and a plunger movably disposed at least partially inside the internal chamber. The plunger may be configured to be actuated to open the seal and express the portion of the sample.
