KIT FOR COLLECTING BIO-SAMPLES USING A COLLECTION ROD
The present invention relates to a kit with which a user can conveniently and hygienically collect bio-samples using a collecting rod. A collection kit for collecting a bio-sample using a collection rod according to the present invention comprises: a cap on the lower part of the central part of which a filter is detachably mounted, wherein a cover is formed on the upper part of the filter; a collection rod having a collection unit and a handle part; and a tube fastened with the cap and for accommodating the extraction solution.
Tube opening and closing device and dispensing system including same
According to one embodiment of the present invention, a tube opening and closing device capable of opening and closing a lid of a tube and comprising a container, a lid coupled to the container so as to enable the container to be blocked, and a joint part for connecting the container and a first side of the lid comprises: a tube supporting rack having a plurality of openings formed on one surface thereof, wherein the containers of the tubes can be inserted into each of the plurality of openings; an opening and closing part positioned at an upper part of the tube supporting rack, rotating around a first rotary shaft and having a coupling groove in which a second side of the lid, which faces the first side of the tube, can be accommodated; and a driving part for rotating the opening and closing part, wherein the lid can be opened and closed with respect to the container through the rotation of the opening and closing part.
SECTIONABLE CASSETTE AND EMBEDDING FRAME WITH CONNECTORS, AND METHODS FOR PREPARING BIOPSY TISSUE SAMPLES
A histologic tissue sample support device includes a tissue cassette, a frame, a lid, and a frame-cassette connector. The tissue cassette formed of a first material has a recess including a body with at least one side wall and a bottom wall and is formed of material that can be successfully sectioned in a microtome and is resistant to degradation from solvents and chemicals used to fix, process and stain tissue. The tissue cassette is movably coupled to the frame by a frame-cassette connector. The lid is coupled to the frame. The lid and the tissue cassette are capable of moving from a first position to a second position with respect to the frame, and in the second position the bottom wall and at least a portion of the side wall extend beyond a bottom edge of the frame for sectioning in a microtome.
SAMPLE HOLDER UNIT FOR SINGLE-CRYSTAL X-RAY STRUCTURE ANALYSIS APPARATUS
A sample holder unit 400 capable of quickly and easily soaking a sample in a crystalline sponge, and of quickly and accurately performing single-crystal X-ray structure analysis, is provided. The sample holder unit comprises a sample holder 214 and an applicator 300. The applicator 300 comprises an opening 302 and a storing space in which the sample holder is stored; a seal part 304 provided on a contact surface with the sample holder stored in the storing space; and a pull-out prevention part 305 that prevents the sample holder from being pulled out from the opening 302, the pull-out prevention part engaged with the sample holder stored in the storing space.
Sealing Products for Individual Wells in Multi-well Arrays
A heat sealing product suitable for sealing one or more individual containers, said heat sealing product comprising: (i) a plurality of individual heat seals set out in a configuration substantially corresponding to the shape and configuration of the container(s) to be sealed, the size and shape of the individual heat seals corresponding substantially to the size and shape of the tops of the individual container(s) to be sealed; (ii) a peelable support film layer coated on one side with a low tack adhesive, the low tack adhesive serving to hold the individual heat seals in place on the support film layer in the desired configuration prior to the sealing process; (iii) alignment points in the sealing product adapted to enable the heat sealing product and therefore the individual heat seals of the heat sealing product to be aligned substantially exactly with respect to the individual containers to be sealed.
Packaging and devices to access screw-top containers in automated systems
The present invention relates to a system for access and retrieval of screw-top containers. In one embodiment, the system includes a tray with a plurality of apertures, the tray adapted to receive containers having a cap and a body such that each cap of each container pressed into the tray rests above a respective aperture in the tray and each body is suspended below the tray. The system also includes a rotary tool having a cavity extending from an opening at one end, the cavity defined by an interior surface that includes engagement features. The engagement features on the interior surface of the rotary tool are adapted to engage onto at least a portion of the body of the container surface defined by complementary engagement features when the rotary tool is inserted over the body of the container from below the tray.
Sample vessel capping applicator or applicator system
An applicator or applicator system used for handling samples in an analytical laboratory setting. In particular, the invention the applicator or applicator system is capable of capping an analytical sample tube by applying a capping material to an opening of an analytical sample vessel, the applicator or applicator system including g a dispenser configured to dispense a substantially continuous length of a capping material, such that a region of the substantially continuous length of capping material is located on or about an opening of an analytical sample vessel held in a predetermined orientation.
Apparatus to facilitate transfer of biological specimens stored at cryogenic conditions
A system and method facilitates transfers of specimen containers (e.g., vials with caps) between storage cassettes and carrier cassettes. The storage cassettes are designed to be stored in cryogenic refrigerators while the carrier cassettes are designed to be temporarily stored in a portable carrier. Identification information is read from wireless transponders carried by the specimen containers. Visual mappings of the positions of the specimen container in the cassettes is provided. Presence and position of the specimen containers in the cassettes is verified, and alerts of inconsistencies provided along with corrective commands. Inventories of specimen container and even specific specimen holders are provided.
