CELL PICKING DEVICE AND CELL PICKING METHOD
A cell picking device that sucks cells from a liquid sample in a sample container and accommodates the sucked cells in any of a plurality of wells of an accommodating plate, includes a suction discharger that sucks cells in the sample container and discharges the sucked cells into any of the plurality of wells, the receiver that receives selection of a well in which cells are to be accommodated out of the plurality of wells of the accommodating plate as a selection well, a driver that adjusts a relative positional relationship between the suction discharger and the plurality of wells of the accommodating plate, and a work controller that controls the driver such that the suction discharger discharges cells into the received selection well out of the plurality of wells of the accommodating plate.
Systems and methods for biological analysis
A biological analysis system is provided. The system comprises an interchangeable assembly configured to accommodate any one of a plurality of sample holders, each respective sample holder configured to receive a plurality of samples. The system also includes a control system configured to cycle the plurality of samples through a series of temperatures. The system further includes an optical system configured to detect fluorescent signals emitted from the plurality of samples. The optical system, in particular, can comprise a single field lens, an excitation source, an optical sensor, and a plurality of filter components. The excitation source can be one or more light emitting diodes. The field lends can be a bi-convex lens.
CELLULAR CASSETTES FOR THE COLLECTION, STORAGE, AND ANALYSIS OF BIOLOGICAL SAMPLES
Disclosed herein are cellular cassettes for the storage, collection, and analysis of biological samples. The cellular cassette can enable easy sample collection and sealing of microwell arrays with semi-permeable membrane for stable storage and future processing of single cells. Also disclosed herein are systems and kits comprising one or more described cassettes. The described cassettes, systems, and kits can be used to create barcoded, single-cell sequencing libraries. Further described herein are methods of using the cassettes, systems, and kits.
Roughly cylindrical sample containers having multiple reservoirs therein and being adapted for acoustic ejections
Provided herein is generally tubular container, preferably including a plurality of reservoirs defined therein. The container can be adapted for acoustic ejection of a fluid disposed within at least one of the reservoirs of the plurality of reservoirs. Alternatively, the container can be adapted for extraction of a fluid disposed within at least one of the reservoirs of the plurality of reservoirs using a non-acoustic liquid handling method.
AUTOMATED DIAGNOSTIC ANALYZER AND METHOD FOR ITS OPERATION
An automated analyzer that receives samples prepared for analysis in an automated pre-analytical module and a method of operation of such automated analyzer. The automated analyzer includes a shuttle transfer station that receives a shuttle carrier from the automated pre-analytical system. The shuttle transfer station has a clamping assembly for the shuttle. The clamping assembly has jaws that advance engagement members into contact with a bottom portion of sample containers disposed in the shuttle. The clamping assembly secures the sample containers in the shuttle when sample is aspirated from the sample containers. The automated analyzer also has a multichannel puncture tool that is adapted to be carried by a robotic gripper mechanism. The multichannel puncture tool has multiple puncture members that each defines a channel Each channel is in communication with a different trough in the consumable. A pipette can pass through the channel in the puncture tool.
DIVISIBLE MULTI-WELL PLATES
The present disclosure describes multi-well plates comprising a frame made of a first material having an array of a plurality of holes arranged in a columnar pattern on the top surface and an array of segmented breaking features arranged in a linear columnar pattern which alternates with the columnar pattern of the plurality of holes, and a plurality of tubes/wells made of a second material placed into the plurality of holes, wherein the multi-well plate is manually divisible along the segmented breaking features into one or more columns of multi-well/tube strips. Manually dividing multi-well plate of the disclosure produces multi-well strips or segments that have smooth edges, thereby reducing injuries and glove tear incidences.
Multiwell instrument
A multiwell instrument includes a vessel having an inside; a plurality of culture plates arranged in the inside of the vessel, each individual one of the plurality of culture plates having an inside in which material to be examined can be stored; and filters disposed inside the respective culture plates to partition the insides of the respective culture plates into at least two wells which are horizontally adjacent.

A system and method for processing and detecting nucleic acids from a set of biological samples, comprising: a capture plate and a capture plate module configured to facilitate binding of nucleic acids within the set of biological samples to magnetic beads; a molecular diagnostic module configured to receive nucleic acids bound to magnetic beads, isolate nucleic acids, and analyze nucleic acids, comprising a cartridge receiving module, a heating/cooling subsystem and a magnet configured to facilitate isolation of nucleic acids, a valve actuation subsystem configured to control fluid flow through a microfluidic cartridge for processing nucleic acids, and an optical subsystem for analysis of nucleic acids; a fluid handling system configured to deliver samples and reagents to components of the system to facilitate molecular diagnostic protocols; and an assay strip configured to combine nucleic acid samples with molecular diagnostic reagents for analysis of nucleic acids.
Specimen treatment and measurement system
The specimen treatment and measurement system 2000 according to the present invention is provided with: a movement stage 2300 having a plurality of treatment lanes for treating specimens in parallel; a consumables supply module 2100 for storing consumables for use in treatment of the specimens, and supplying the consumables to the movement stage 2300; a cartridge supply module 2500 for storing cartridges for use in treatment of the specimens, and supplying the cartridges to the movement stage 2300; and a stage transfer mechanism 2400 for transferring the movement stage 2400 to each module. The cartridge supply module 2500 has a plurality of cartridge cartons for accommodating the cartridges stacked on top of each other, and a push-out mechanism for pushing cartridges out of a cartridge carton to a supply position of the cartridge supply module 2500.
Solid-Core Magnet
A solid-core ring-magnet having one or more cavities is provided. The magnet can have an overall cylindrical shape or a rectangular-prism shape. In either case, a portion of cavity walls of the magnet are ring shaped, causing the magnetic field lines to emanate from the magnet so that the bead formation is in the shape of a ring. A bead separation magnet having a discontinuous or segmented cavity wall is also provided. The segmented cavity wall causes bead formation to form in a segmented or gapped ring to allow for easier manual pipetting. Also provided are systems and kits having the inventive magnets. Methods of purifying a macromolecule using the inventive magnets are also provided.
