A magnetic separator includes a housing defining a product flow path, a drawer moveable between a first position and a second position, a magnet operatively connected to the drawer, the magnet positioned within the product flow path when in the first position and the magnet withdrawn from the flow path when in the second position, and a stripper plate frame attached to the housing. A stripper plate is fixed to the stripper plate frame that conforms with the magnet and through which the magnet passes as the drawer is moved between the first and second positions. An anti-rotation mechanism includes a slot that engages along a length of a shoulder such that. When the anti-rotation mechanism is positioned having the slot over the shoulder, the magnet is prevented from moving from the axially locked position. The shoulder extends beyond an outer surface of the anti-rotation mechanism.

MAGNETIC DRUM SEPARATOR
A magnetic drum separator comprises a drum rotatable about an axis, the drum comprising an internal chamber and an opening at an end of the drum providing access into the internal chamber. The magnetic drum separator also comprises an inlet for supplying a liquid or granular substance into the internal chamber through the opening, a magnet outside of the drum for attracting magnetic material in the liquid or granular substance towards an internal sidewall of the internal chamber, a collection device for recovering magnetic material attracted to the internal sidewall and an annular seal member attached to the end of the drum that rotates with the drum in use. A baffle that bears against the annular seal member partially seals the opening. A plurality of cavities formed in the annular seal member receive fluid leaking into a boundary between the annular seal member and the baffle.

The method includes disposing a solution including a first particle and a second particle onto the filter. The first particle includes a magnetic particle of interest. The method further includes separating the first particle from the second particle by capturing the first particle within a pore of the plurality of pores within the substrate.
Method for preventing scale deposits and removing contaminants from fluid columns
A method for providing magnetic fluid treatment in which at least one electrical conductor comprising at least one length of an electrical conducting material having a first conductor lead and a second conductor lead is energized. The electrical conductor is coiled with at least one turn to form at least one uninterrupted coil of electrical conductor encircling at least a section of an outer surface of a conduit. Energizing the at least one electrical conductor establishes a magnetic field having lines of flux directed along a flow path formed by the conduit and concentrated in a non-magnetically conductive region located between two magnetically conductive regions. A fluid is directed through the conduit past the non-magnetically conductive region to provide magnetic fluid treatment to the fluid.
