Separating primarily gas process fluids in an electrostatic coalescer
A method for coalescing a disperse phase component in a primarily gas process fluid includes passing the process fluid through a structure. The structure includes an outer wall with an electrically insulating material formed on an entire inner surface of the outer wall to define an entirely insulated flow path for receiving the process fluid and the flow path is free of any portion of the structure. A plurality of planar, spaced-apart electrode plates is positioned within the entirely insulated flow path and positioned substantially parallel to one another and substantially the entirety of each of the plurality of electrode plates is coated with an insulative material. At least one insulating member disposed in a space between and spaced apart from two adjacent electrode plates. A power source is applied to the electrode plates to generate an electrical field to coalesce droplets of the disperse phase component.
Electrostatic air cleaner
An electrostatic air cleaner comprises a main body, a corona discharged module, a collector module and a fan. The main body has an airflow passage for disposing the corona discharged module, the collector module and the fan. The fan is used for drawing an air stream into the airflow passage. The corona discharged module is used for discharging particles in the air stream. The charged particles are then captured by the collector module.
Air purification device and method
The present invention is an air purification method and device. Due to the lower airflow resistance that the present invention induces, an exhaust fan or blower with motor of lower torque is adopted. Consequently, the whole air purification is operated at a lower noise level. Lower operational voltage is applicable for the high-voltage electrostatic precipitator device and provides a similar or superior performance and effectiveness for dust removal. The air purification device/system is designed with higher flexibility and of more compact in dimension and size. Dust is removed from the environment by a high voltage electrostatic precipitator. The airflow stream within a high-voltage electrostatic precipitator is such that the direction of the path of the airflow is changed at least twice.
Oil separator
An oil separator includes a case and introduces blow-by gas of an internal combustion engine into the case. The oil separator then separates oil from the blow-by gas and discharges the separated oil from the case. The case incorporates electrode plates, which are arranged at intervals and face each other. A filter is arranged between any adjacent two of the electrode plates. The filter is formed of fibers, which are made of an electrically insulating first material, or polyester. A potential difference is created between the electrode plates.
CONCENTRIC ELECTROSTATIC FILTER
An electrostatic filter, for filtering solid and liquid particles in gases composed of a case (3); concentric collectors (15), concentric diffusers (10); electrodes (2); insulated supports (7), distributor disc (8), thermal insulator (17), electrical resistors (4), main collector (9), filter cap (1); the concentric diffusers (10) host along their internal and external wall the electrodes (2); the insulated supports connect the filter cap (1) to the distributor disc (8) which in turn supports the concentric diffusers (10); the electrical resistors (4) are located around the case (3) as clamps and are covered by the thermal insulator (17); so that the gas flows through the filter from the filter inlet (14) located tangentially at the external face of the case (3), towards the insulated outlet (5) located in the central part between the distributor disc (8) and the filter cap (1), thus optimizing the space and surface of the constituent materials and a very high filtration efficiency of liquid and solid micron particles contained in gases at any temperature up to 900 C.
ION FILTRATION AIR CLEANER
A method for filtering air includes: passing air through a prefilter disposed in a housing to remove at least a portion of particulates suspended in the air to thereby create prefiltered air; passing the prefiltered air by an ionizer disposed in the housing to ionize at least a portion of the particulates suspended in the air to thereby create ionized particulates in the prefiltered air, the ionizer downstream from the prefilter and upstream from the fan positioned to create an airflow within the housing; and prior to the prefiltered air exiting the housing with ionized particulates, causing the ionized particulates to pass through an electrostatically charged main filter disposed within the housing downstream from each of the ionizer and the fan.
SCROLL TYPE ELECTROSTATIC PRECIPITATOR AND AIR CONDITIONING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
An electrostatic precipitator is provided. The electrostatic precipitator includes an electrode part including a high voltage electrode with voltage applied thereto and a ground electrode coiled in a circumferential direction along with the high voltage electrode while being spaced apart from the high voltage electrode, and a plurality of turning flow paths inclined with respect to an axial direction of the electrode part between the high voltage electrode and the ground electrode.
DUST COLLECTION DEVICE
A dust collection device can be fitted to windows in a room, thus not only cleaning air while ventilating air within a space targeted for cleaning but also cleaning air outside of the space. A dust collection device is constructed by laminating first insulation type electrodes and second insulation type electrodes alternately via spacers. The insulation type electrodes have a configuration in which both sides of first electrodes (second electrodes) are coated by first insulating layers (second insulating layers). Furthermore, a power supply is connected to the electrodes, and the electrodes are grounded. In addition, a plurality of first through holes (second through holes) is provided in rows in the insulation type electrodes. Furthermore, the positions of the through holes in the insulation type electrodes are arranged in a plane view so as to be a prescribed distance from the positions of the through holes in the insulation type electrodes.
ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANERS AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Electronic air cleaners for use in heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation (HVAC) systems and associated methods and systems are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, an electronic air cleaner includes one or more collecting electrodes having a collection material with a porous, open-cell structure and a conductive internal portion. The collection material can be configured to collect and receive charged particulate matter in an airflow path. After a period of time, used collection material can be removed from individual collecting electrodes and replaced with new collection material.
OIL REMOVAL APPARATUS
An object of the present invention is to suppress a blockage caused by oil particles in an upstream side of a filter in an oil removal apparatus that collects oil particles in a filter disposed between an anode and a cathode. While an internal combustion engine is operative, application of a voltage to a bipolar electrode is controlled such that a voltage application period, in which the voltage is applied to the bipolar electrode, and a voltage application stoppage period, in which application of the voltage to the bipolar electrode is stopped, are repeated alternately at predetermined periodic intervals.
