A vehicle including at least one filter for trapping particles in a vehicle's outside surrounding air. The filter includes a first part and a second part. The first part includes a first cilia layer. An air inlet is arranged in one end of the filter. The first cilia layer is arranged to trap at least some particles in the air flowing into the filter via the air inlet when the first cilia layer is electrostatically charged by an electromagnetic field. The filter is connected to a vehicle chassis and such that one of the first and second parts faces the vehicle chassis and the other part faces ground.

The discharge electrode includes a plurality of corona discharge portions for corona discharge, the plurality of corona discharge portions are continuously provided in the gas flow direction, and are protruding toward only one collecting electrode of the collecting electrodes that face each other. A plurality of collecting electrodes and a plurality of discharge electrodes are alternately arranged in a direction orthogonal to a gas flow direction. In each of the upstream region and the downstream region in the gas flow direction, all of the corona discharge portions protrude in the same direction.

A method of forming a collection electrode for an electrostatic charging air cleaning device. The method includes forming a slurry including a carbon black powder material, a polymeric binder material and a liquid solvent material. The method further includes applying the slurry to a substrate material. The method also includes curing the slurry to obtain a coating layer on the substrate material to form the collection electrode.
