Robotic painting booth and operating method
A next generation painting robot with advanced fluid delivery system, enhanced kinematics and a service airlock compartment. The painting robot includes a fluid delivery system which places color changing valves and pumping hardware on the back side of the robot's mounting pedestal, where it can be serviced without a technician having to enter the spray booth. Additionally, the robot enables routine cleaning and maintenance to be performed without personnel entering the spray booth and without stopping the vehicle conveyor, due to simplified outer arm design, improved home positioning and an airlock booth adjacent to the robot pedestal. Service personnel can clean and service the applicator and other components on the outer arm from the airlock booth, while other robots continue painting parts moving on the conveyor, without allowing fume-laden vapors into the operator aisle.
WEAR RESISTANT DISTRIBUTOR POST
A wear resistant mounting post for a distributor cap in a rotary bell cup atomizer. The mounting post includes a flange separating a thin barbed end from a larger diameter central portion. The flange fits into a countersunk depression in the distributor cap to provide a flange surface which is flush with the distributor cap surface. Paint flowing radially outward across the distributor cap follows the flange surface to the central portion of the post. This design prevents the paint from undercutting the surface of the distributor cap, and ensures that any abrasive wear of the post is limited to the larger diameter central portion.
ROTARY ATOMISERS
A rotary atomiser spindle arrangement includes a rotary atomiser spindle having a shaft which is journaled for rotation in a main body of the rotary atomiser spindle and a bell cup releasably mounted on the shaft. The bell cup has a bell portion for spraying media during rotation in use and a mounting portion via which the bell cup is mounted on the shaft. The shaft and mounting portion of the bell cup include respective complimentary taper portions which form an interference fit with each other when the bell cup is mounted on the shaft so locating in the bell cup in relation to the shaft, wherein the rotary atomiser spindle arrangement includes a bell cup retention arrangement having retention biasing for urging the complimentary taper portions against one another when the bell cup and shaft are at a first relative rotational position with respect to one another whilst the bell cup retention arrangement allows at least demounting of the bell cup from the shaft when the bell cup and shaft are at a second relative rotational position with respect to one another. The bell cup retention arrangement includes latching mechanism for latching the bell cup and shaft in the first relative rotational position.
DISINFECTION DEVICE
The disclosure relates in particular to an apparatus for disinfecting at least one room, in particular for one or more persons, preferably a dwelling space or treatment room, for example a treatment room in a building, in particular a sickroom, a patient room and/or an operating theatre, by means of an atomiser. Specifically, the apparatus is characterised in that the atomiser includes a rotatable bell cup for atomising a disinfectant into the room. The disclosure relates to an associated method and furthermore to the use of a bell cup for atomising a disinfectant in a room for, in particular, one or more persons.
ROTARY ATOMIZER
The disclosure relates to a rotary atomizer for applying a spray jet of a coating agent (e.g. paint) to a component (e.g. motor vehicle body component). The disclosure provides that the construction dimensions of the rotary atomizer are coordinated in such a way that the air pressure at the outlet opening of the paint nozzle during operation is lower than the air pressure in the nozzle chamber of the bell cup and in the external rinsing channels in order to prevent a backflow of the coating agent from the outlet opening of the paint nozzle backwards in the direction of the nozzle chamber due to the pressure difference.
SYSTEM FOR MAINTAINING CONDUITS AND PIPES IN A PIPELINE SYSTEM
A system for maintaining conduits and pipes after their installation into a pipeline system used to transport material in a fluid or flowable form. The system includes a maintenance tool adopted for use inside the pipe, an umbilical attached to the maintenance tool for pulling the tool through the pipe; and a pluralities of bearings positioned around the umbilical in order to allow the tool to be pulled through the pipe around bends and turns in the pipe.
EXTENDED-RANGE SPRAY APPLICATOR
The disclosure relates to an extended-range spray applicator, and methods of making and use thereof, for dosing vaccines and/or probiotics to avian animals at a distance.
Air purging apparatus for a coater.
An air purging coater apparatus is disclosed for purging mixed components from the apparatus disposed in a pipeline at a pipeline site. The apparatus includes a remote-controlled apparatus for insertion within the pipeline at the pipeline site. The remote-controlled apparatus includes a drive for controllably moving the remote-controlled apparatus internally within the pipeline. A high-pressure mixing device defines a first inlet controllably connected to a pressurized source of a first component. The high-pressure mixing device also defines a second inlet controllably connected to a further pressurized source of a second component. The high-pressure mixing device defines a high-pressure mixing chamber connected to the first and the second inlets for mixing together the first and second components. The high-pressure mixing device defines an outlet connected to the high-pressure mixing chamber for receiving a flow therethrough of the mixed components. A spin head defines an internal conical surface having an apex which cooperates with the outlet of the high-pressure mixing device for receiving the flow of the mixed components. The spin head includes a baffle which is disposed adjacent to the apex such that when the spin head is rotated, the mixed components are deflected by the baffle onto the internal conical surface so that the mixed components are applied to an inside surface of the pipeline at the pipeline site. The high-pressure mixing device is controllably movable from an application disposition thereof to a purging disposition, the application disposition being such that the first inlet and the second inlet are aligned with and in fluid communication with the respective pressurized source and further pressurized source so that the mixed components are applied to the inside surface of the pipeline. When the high-pressure mixing device is controllably moved to the purging disposition, the first and second inlets are moved out of alignment with the pressurized sources so that the flow of the mixed components is terminated and a source of pressurized air flows into and through the first and second inlets and from the inlets through the high-pressure mixing chamber and the outlet for purging any residual mixed components from the high-pressure mixing device thereby avoiding any need for the use of a potentially hazardous solvent together with life threatening conditions that could result from the introduction of such solvent into the pipeline at the pipeline site.
SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR SUPPLYING MULTIPLE CONSUMERS WITH AN APPLICATION SUBSTANCE
The disclosure relates to a supply system for supplying multiple consumers with a substance to be applied, preferably paint, for application to motor vehicle bodies and/or add-on parts thereof. The supply system comprises a feed line, a return line, a first consumer device which comprises a first consumer, the first consumer being connected to the feed line and the return line and preferably forming a first consumer of the feed line in the flow direction of the substance to be applied, and a further consumer device which comprises a further consumer, the further consumer being connected to the feed line and the return line and preferably forming a last consumer of the feed line in the flow direction of the substance to be applied and/or being arranged after the first consumer in the flow direction of the substance to be applied. The supply system is distinguished in particular in that the feed line is connected to the return line via a connecting line. The disclosure relates further to an associated coating installation and to an associated supply method.
