IMPELLER FOR ELECTROSTATIC SPRAY GUN
An alternator, such as for use in an electrostatic spray gun, comprises an electromagnetic alternator, a housing and an impeller. The electromagnetic alternator has a shaft. The electromagnetic alternator is disposed within the housing. The housing has an air aperture. The impeller is mounted to the shaft within the housing so as to be aligned with the air aperture. The impeller includes blades having curved leading and trailing edges. In one embodiment, each blade has a curvature so as to be perpendicular to the air aperture across an entire arc over which each impeller blade has a line of sight of the air aperture.
SPRAY TOOL POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system may include an electrostatic spray tool having a turbine generator configured to generate electrical power to electrostatically charge a spray. The spray tool also may include a controller configured to monitor the electrical power from the turbine generator and to instruct a gas supply to vary a gas flow to the turbine generator based on feedback received from one or more sensors.

Circuit for displaying the relative voltage at the output electrode of an electrostatically aided coating material atomizer
A coating dispensing device includes a trigger assembly for actuating the coating dispensing device to dispense coating material and a nozzle through which the coating material is dispensed. The coating dispensing device further includes a source of voltage and a voltage multiplier for multiplying the voltage. The voltage multiplier is coupled to the source. An output terminal of the voltage multiplier is charged to a high-magnitude electrostatic potential and is adapted to charge coating material as the coating material is dispensed from the dispensing device. The coating dispensing device further includes a circuit for providing a visual indication of the voltage at the output terminal. The circuit for providing a visual indication of the voltage at the output terminal comprises a first impedance across which a portion of the voltage at the output terminal appears and an amplifier. The output terminal of the amplifier is coupled to a light source for providing the visual indication of the voltage at the output terminal of the voltage multiplier.
Alternator for electrostatic spray gun
An alternator, such as for use in an electrostatic spray gun, comprises an alternator housing, a stator, a rotor, a shaft, a first bearing and a sheath. The stator is inserted into the alternator housing and has an inner diameter and an outer diameter. The rotor is disposed within the inner diameter of the stator. The shaft extends from the rotor and is rotatably supported by a first bearing. The sheath surrounds the outer diameter, supports the stator with respect to the alternator housing, and supports the bearing.
CASCADE SYSTEM
A system includes an electrostatic tool having a cascade that includes electrical components configured to convert a first voltage from an incoming alternating current into an outgoing second voltage at a direct current and a shell configured to cover the electrical components. The shell radially conforms to the electrical components.
