Method and system for delivery of an aerosolized medicament
The method and system according to preferred embodiments of the present invention allows an effective delivery of aerosolized medicament (e.g., a surfactant) to the patient's lungs. According to a preferred embodiment, the method of the present invention provides an efficient delivery of the aerosol medicament (possibly breath synchronized). A glass vial in which medicaments are usually stored and shipped is used directly as a component of the system. Its function in the system is that of an intermittently pressurized chamber that can inject the surfactant into the catheter of the atomizer device. According to a preferred embodiment the delivery can be done in phase with the beginning of each inspiration. The main elements of the system are: a source of compressed gas, the already mentioned medicament vial, a catheter, and optionally means to detect the breathing pattern and a control unit.
SPRAYING UHPFRC FOR REINFORCEMENT AND REGENERATION OF PRE-EXISTING STRUCTURES
A method for reinforcing a structure comprising the following steps: preparation of UHPFRC comprising a cement precursor mix, of water, a fluidizing agent and metal fibers, transporting the UHPFRC by pumping to a suitable spray nozzle, spraying the mix onto a surface of the structure by the addition of a compressed air stream in the spray nozzle.
COMPRESSED AIR FOAM MIXING SYSTEM
A compressed air foam mixing system that has a mixing device connected to a discharge port of a tank. The mixing device receives fluid from the tank and pressurized air from the tank or alternatively directly from a source of pressurized air. The fluid and pressurized air are combined within the mixing device to form a foam.
Apparatus for Ejecting Viscous Liquid Aerosol
Provided is an apparatus for ejecting viscous liquid aerosol, and more particularly, an apparatus for ejecting viscous liquid aerosol capable of dispensing a viscous liquid to a work with a fine line width by ejecting the viscous liquid in the form of aerosols. The apparatus for ejecting viscous liquid aerosol may be configured compactly by miniaturizing a device capable of aerosolizing and ejecting viscous liquid in the form of aerosols. In addition, since the apparatus for ejecting viscous liquid aerosol has a structure that is easy to miniaturize, it is easy to uniformly maintain the characteristics of aerosol.
AEROSOL HAIR CARE PRODUCT
An aerosol hair care product includes a pressurisable container a propellant, a hair care formulation, and a spraying device. The pressurisable container is at a pressure of 9×10.sup.5 to 11×10.sup.5 Pa. The pressurisable container includes a container wall which encloses a reservoir. The propellant is contained within the reservoir. The propellant includes an insoluble compressed gas and has a first weight. The hair care formulation is contained within the reservoir. The hair care formulation has a second weight and includes starch having a third weight. The third weight is 3 to 15% of a sum of the first weight and the second weight. The spraying device is attached to the pressurisable container. The spraying device is configured to facilitate dispensing of the hair care formulation from the reservoir. The spraying device includes an actuator and a valve.
Co-flow injection for serial crystallography
Systems and methods for performing serial crystallography by providing an aqueous suspension of a crystal sample to a T-junction at a first flow rate and providing an immiscible oil fluid to the T-junction at a second flow rate. The aqueous suspension and the oil are combined at the T-junction to produce a co-flow output fluid including a parallel co-flow of the aqueous suspension and the oil in the same output channel. The co-flow output fluid is ejected as a jet stream through a nozzle and the sample flow rate in the crystal sample in the jet stream is adjusted by adjusting the first flow rate of the aqueous suspension and the second flow rate of the oil. By combining the aqueous sample and the oil in this manner, the output of the jet stream can be regulated for compatibility with X-ray free electron laser serial crystallography.
Torpedo Nozzle Apparatus
The present invention embodies a spray nozzle for mixing and spraying a mixture of liquid and dry material. The device is comprised of a liquid injector, a torpedo, a spray tip, and a mixing chamber. The mixing chamber is connected to a hose that directs dry material through the apparatus. Dry material is forced around and over the first end of the torpedo within the mixing chamber, slowing the speed of that material and focusing it toward the second end of the torpedo where it mixes with liquid exiting the spray tip at this second end. The torpedo blends the dry and liquid components more uniformly resulting in a more homogenous material.
ELECTROSTATIC SPRAY DRYING NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
An electrostatic sprayer operable at high flow rates and low pressures particularly suitable for spray drying. The sprayer includes an elongated body having a downstream spray nozzle assembly through which electrically charged liquid is directed via a central feed tube within the nozzle body and atomizing air is supplied via an annular passage about the liquid feed tube. In one embodiment, the nozzle assembly is an external mix cluster head spray nozzle assembly having a plurality of circumferentially spaced metallic spray tips. In another embodiment, the spray nozzle is an internal mix nozzle assembly having a spray tip with an internal mixing chamber for atomizing liquid prior to discharge.
Flow divider
A flow divider for diverging a fluid includes a main body that includes first and second side surfaces being opposite to each other along a central axis of the main body. The first side surface has a central segment transversely intersecting the central axis, and having an inlet channel recessed toward the second side surface, a generally annular channel surrounding the central segment, recessed toward the second side surface, and spatially communicated with the inlet channel at a junction space, and an inclined segment surrounding the annular channel. A width of the annular channel decreases gradually from a start measurement to an end measurement along a rotational direction with respect to the central axis.
