A nozzle assembly includes a nozzle, a manifold, and wand body. The nozzle, manifold, and wand body can be coupled together to provide a robust spray drying system that can withstand elevated temperature and/or pressure feed stock. In some embodiments, an internal shoulder portion of the manifold can engage with a side of a nozzle collar to restrict distal movement of the nozzle relative to the manifold.

TWO-FLUID NOZZLE WITH AN ARCUATE OPENING
20240058827 · 2024-02-22 ·

Aspects of the present disclosure describe a two-fluid nozzle including a nozzle body. The nozzle body includes a first fluid nozzle tip having a first fluid opening formed therein. The nozzle body includes a second fluid nozzle tip comprising a second fluid opening formed therein. The first fluid nozzle tip and second fluid nozzle tip can be fluidically isolated from each other in the nozzle body. The first fluid opening and second fluid opening are each arcuate and rectangular. The second fluid opening is positioned adjacent to the first fluid opening such that, when flowing, the second fluid from the second fluid opening affects the first fluid from the first fluid opening of a first tubular member.

System and method for spraying hot-melt adhesive onto glued surfaces

A system for spraying hot-melt adhesive onto glued surfaces comprising a melter to heat hot-melt adhesive, an air compressor, a power and control system and a gun. The gun is connected to the melter by a pipe with screw connectors, through which a hot-melt adhesive being heated flows, and the air compressor by an air pipe with screw connectors through which a pressurized compressed air flows. The gun has a nozzle with a hot-melt adhesive outlet or orifice and a compressed air outlet. The pipe through which flows the hot-melt adhesive having a viscosity between 2500 mPa.Math.s and 7000 mPa.Math.s and a temperature between 120 C. and 200 C., and a density between 0.8 kg/dcm.sup.3 and 1.4 kg/dcm.sup.3, and the air pipe are fitted in an insulating layer of a hose.

Air caps with face geometry inserts for liquid spray guns

Provided are air caps for liquid spray head assemblies and/or for liquid spray guns. Specifically provided are molded air caps with face geometry inserts. Face geometry inserts provided herein may be effective to provide refined spray patterns. The face geometry inserts are components that are self-aligning in that location, size, and spacing of air and/or liquid openings are designed into in a single piece. The air caps comprise a base member comprising: a base member body, at least one pair of exit air openings, a nozzle tip opening; and a face geometry insert comprising a pair of shaping air apertures and being retained to the base member body.
